Pity the Force have selected such a “B” Team… but then it’s understandable because they play again on Sunday against the Waratahs!
A bit of crazy scheduling to expect the Force to play this game today (Wednesday night their time) and then the Super game on Sunday so its no wonder they have put a 2nd rate team out. Thought that the Lions may take a while to get into their stride and then ease to a win but it was pointed out in yesterdays Force article that the Force defence has been part of the key to their achievements this season, if the team is such a mix and match one then surely their defence won’t be that organzied today which will aid the Lions from the outset. A powerful Lions backline, would like to have seen Youngs get a start to give him and Sexton more time to gel as halfback pairing, as Murray and Sexton are Irish team mates anyway this would have been an ideal opportunity to test a new combination. Wonder if Sexton and Halfpenny will share the kicking duties. Lions should win by plenty!
