Farking Chiefs can’t close games out this season!
It’s the wet (constant rain) and mud that gets to you in winter here in Nu Zolland. This field is a good example what all rugby fields looked like in 1921, 1937 and 1956. The ball was made of leather and when soaked heavy as a rock.
Those old guys was something else I reckon. Imagine touring and playing almost every single match (21 matches) over four months in conditions like this.
Eish, I picked the Chiefs by 15 on Bru….
62 @ McLook:
Hello Kalahariklong!
Chiefs scrum, 5m out…. and they get the scrum penalty
They opt to scrum again
Strong Chiefs scrum, walking with the Force
I’ve gotten
The chiefs by 10. They need to score twice before the end of the match. Force has been pretty resilient in their last few games.
68 @ McLook:
Would actually be good for the SA sides if the Force could win here… but I doubt it
Another Chiefs scrum penalty…. when do we see a card?
Wow the underfoot conditions are just terrible.
Ah, there’s the Yellow Card against Longbottom, who has to go put his long bottom on a chair for 10 minutes… game over for him
GBS@69. Yip in terms of securing home semi-finals. Cheetahs got a tough one this weekend. Canes are going to be desperate to bounce back. Sharks and Stormers got their work cut out as well.
Messam over… is it a try?
TMO
73 @ McLook:
Yip, we might see NO SA wins this weekend… although I think the Cheetahs will be up for it after a week’s rest
No try, knocked on by Messam
Force throwing Dellit on at No 8, to have 8 guys in the scrum…
Hello McLook.
Een ou het blykbaar amper versuip daar in NZ, 1956, onder innie losskrum Die insident word in Chris Greyvenstein se boek beskryf, as ek reg onthou. Velde was nie nie so goed gedreineer soos nou nie, modderbaddens meesal!
Good rugby, good endeavour, good running lines… good defence
Force defence holding up.
4 Minutes remain… Force has the ball and get a penalty just inside their own half
Sies Ebersohn goes for goal… it’s far… I think too far
Well, well short and to the left anyway
Anything can still happen here…
Chiefs scrum deep in their half
Scrum is for a skew throw into the lineout by the Force… wasted opportunity
Not a lot of spectators attending the match. Playing these matches a night in rural areas is a waste.
Chiefs hack the ball ahead and put the Force under pressure 10 m from the Force line.
Sies Ebersohn kicks out… wtf?
Hooter goes, Chiefs get their lineout and kick out
1 point win. Not very flattering for the chiefs.
Final Score: Chiefs 22 / 21 Western Force
Squeecky win for the Chiefs
