The Sharks have named a mixture of youth and experience in their 26 man touring squad that will depart for their four match Vodacom Super Rugby tour to New Zealand and Australia on Sunday.

JP Pietersen injured his ankle in last week’s match against the Stormers and won’t be playing this weekend, but is expected to play a role on tour and has been included in the touring squad.
With the injury situation as it is at The Sharks, where they are missing a number of players currently in rehabilitation and recovery, they have bolstered their stocks with the inclusion of three players on loan.
Andries Coetzee is on loan from the Lions and has been training with The Sharks. The exciting and talented wing-cum-fullback has been named on The Sharks bench for their Vodacom Super Rugby match against the Cheetahs at KINGS PARK this Saturday and will provide cover in an area The Sharks have suffered great misfortune in recent weeks, with the loss of Lwazi Mvovo, Louis Ludik and lately JP Pietersen.
Having enjoyed a successful stint with Tukkies in their victorious Varsity Cup campaign and more recently with the Blue Bulls in the Vodacom Cup, former Sharks age group and Vodacom Cup centre, Piet Lindeque (pictured), has also been included.
The third new recruit is Lions flank Derick Minnie. He is a formidable rugby presence in the mould of Jean Deysel and Keegan Daniel rolled into one and who has been an important player for the Lions in recent times.
