Minus Keohane se agent fees om sy coke snorting habits to fullfill Happy-Grin

Best of luck to the Kings.

  • 6

Realistically they have a chance to take a point or two off the Rebels, but for the other games I reckon it will be a struggle.

I think this tour will finally see the dream start end. People have been raving about how well the Kings have been playing. I have a slightly different take on the matter. If you do not have the ball you cannot play. The Kings were solid against a pathetic Force, were manful in defence against the Sharks, and were lucky not to conceded more tries and points to the Chiefs.

“ek is i TUKS supporter, maar gooi hulle uit die varsity cup”

    “Learning from the kings”

“Korreksie.Die Kings het seker by hle geleer.Doen dit al van laas jaar af”

“Bunch of frauds they are… went to PE with a fraudlent team and lost, this is a crying shame and they should be suspended for at least one season and pay back all the monies they as Tuks have made for the season, that’s not all, let them stand at moftus and wear the pink poofters jersey and sing ” Hansie Slim”……”

Have you seen Tuks response to the accusations and media frenzie about the issue?

    Check here: http://www.thebulls.co.za/article.aspx?artid=1841494

So, all a bit of a storm in a teacup if you ask me, and complete idiots shouting about things they know sweet fanny all about and have no proof of whatsoever!

Seems the Judicial Officer who investigated the matter agreed with Tuks in his findings too, by the way…

With the Anti-Tuks and Anti-Bulls brigade shouting the loudest in their simple ignorance of the whole matter.

Out of 6 players investigated, 5 indeed were ruled as qualifying as bona fide students and ONLY 1 player (out of a range of 97 junior and senior students) of Tuks did not qualify, on a technicality… and only because he suspended some of his studies so that he could attend rugby programmes which clashed with his study committments.. yet he still was a student.

So take it any way you like it…

The question is, is a breach of the rules a breach or not?

Both these teams are manipulating rules and regulations but we all know that neither team will get more than a slap on the wrist.

That’s Rugby in SA I’m afraid. Much like the general population, we will all break minor laws when it suits us, and then scream from the rooftops when a close friend or family member is a victim of a bigger more personal crime.

They may as well say let ALL the SR sides have as many foreign players as they like and make Rugby truly professional, and the same with the Varsity Cup.

The average Joe watching on a Monday evening couldn’t give a toss how many students are in the team.

When Roux and Watson senior are involved, its not the fact that they speak with forked tongue, its which one has the biggest forked tongue.
Clearly the Kings have breached the rules, but what was really said behind closed doors?

“Duidelik dink die land nie veel van GBS se alma mater nie”. Amazed

‘WTF’ het hedendaagse Tuks-rugby met GBS (as student) 25 jaar gelede te make?
Of leef jy nog in die apartheidsjare, ou bees?

    @ Pietman:

    something from the whitey pen

Fantasy Rugby Scout has posted a new item, ‘Super Rugby Preview – Crusaders vs
    Kings’

    Match Date: Saturday 23rd March

    Intro for Bruce:
The Mighty Kings have a proud record of never having lost to
Crusaders in Super Rugby and will be aiming to keep that record intact this
weekend. Having beaten the Force and narrowly lost to the Sharks and Chiefs
the visitors will be confident of causing an upset in Christchurch.

Intro for all our other readers:
The 7-time Champs, at home, against the new
kids on the block. Oh boy, Fantasy managers will be licking their lips for
this one; the thought of a Kings hiding of epic proportions. We’ve been
promising one since the start of the season but it hasn’t happened yet. The
Kings defensive wall has held up well to batterings from both the Sharks and the
Chiefs. The EP crowds have been brilliant and once again we congratulate the
Union on setting ticket prices that encouraged the packed out stadiums.
Without the 16th player willing them on the visitors may find things very
different on the other side of the world. Christchurch can be a lonely place
for visitors, even the best teams have often found themselves at the mercy of
    the Crusaders.

    @ superBul:
@14, O, jammer dan, as jy dit SO bedoel het!
Sien jou later, by die rugby Bye ……. in Christchurch!
