That looke backwards as Hogg dropped the high ball and then picked it up to pass to Weir who got a good clearance kick
Come on you Welsh daffodil of a commentator, of course it went backwards!!!!
Just far too much kicking from both teams
Fantastic play by Duncan Weir, very clever wee chip kick that he follows up by kicking ahead showing off his football skills from earlier in his life and then tackles Biggar and enforces the 5m scrum!
Great chip by Wier, and great follow up too. Wales under pressure now
And the scrum lets them down again.
That’s rediculous why would you give away a free kick at such a good part of the field , 5m out and its your put in
Thats the 2nd time in short while that Maitland has looked to run the ball back at Wales, good hope we see more of it
The rub going against Scotland at the moment, They mustn’t let it affect them
As I say that, Joub’s give advantage the other way. Laidlaw steps up for one that may be a tad harder than the rest he has slotted!
Wow another sharp blow on Joubert’s whistle and its penalty to Scotland, Laidlaw going to go for posts just outside Wales 10m line and commentators think distance may be a problem for him
But Laidlaw gets it over just what a super kicker he has been this 6 nations, Scotland 12-10 Wales!!!
AWWWWWWWESOME kick by Laidlaw.
Scotland 12 / 10 Wales (37 min)
Thats pretty poor play by Beattie knocking on that kick off deep in his half, thats just school boy error putting unnecessary pressure on Scotland so close to half time, will Wales make Scotland pay?
Stormser and Gio go over, Stormers in the lead 10/0
Scrums just seem an absolute mess as the ref keeps shouting for Phillips to feed the scrum and then eventually they reset the scrum
Another stupid, cynical penalty by the Scots, and they will give away the lead as they go down the tunnel
Stupid play by Jim Hamilton going offside and giving the penalty right in front of the ref and it should be 3 points for Wales to go ahead at half time!!!
Scotland 12- 13 Wales as its over by Halfpenny
Scotland 12 / 13 Wales (Half time)
Scotland would be well ahead if they hadn’t given away so many penalties. i would suggest, and hope, they get an absolute blasting over oranges
From the play I’ve seen think Scotland would have been very happy to have gone in 2 points ahead at half time but then that school boy error by Beattie gave Wales some hope and then just when it was advantage Wales for a knock on and Wales had the ball just stupid play by Hamilton giving Wales the penalty right in front of posts
Hope the Scotland backs will get quicker ball in 2nd half and that Weir gets the ball down the line, Scotland will not want to give away any more silly penalties surely a card can’t be far away.
Richie Grays injury a hammie, and taken off as a precaution only. Good.
Chiefs have clawed a try back.
Stormers 13/10 Chiefs (20 min)
Second half underway
Penalty to Scotland. Laidlaw lines up a long angled one.
Short
Great turnover by Wales, and legal to boot!
Yip the commentators called that one right as it was just short, they said they thought it was out of Laidlaw’s range. Maybe Weir should have had a go, but then Laidlaw has been kicking so well this tournament.
