The Kings revealed that they will wear an all black strip when playing at home in this year’s Super Rugby competition.

According to Die Burger’s website, the team will change to an all white strip for away matches.
They will wear their new jerseys for the first time when they open their Super Rugby campaign against the Force in Port Elizabeth on Saturday, February 23.
This change in jerseys sees a shift away from the traditional red and black hoops worn by Eastern Province.
In upcoming warm-up games against the Lions in Johannesburg (Saturday) and Griquas in Port Elizabeth (Wednesday), the team will, however, still sport its old colours.
The game at Ellis Park on Saturday has been dubbed by many as a ‘grudge’ match with the Kings facing the team they replaced in this year’s Southern Hemisphere showpiece.
But their director of rugby, Alan Solomons, has dismissed the talks.
“This game has nothing to do with who has the right to play Super Rugby. It’s a warm-up game for the Southern Kings as part of our preparations for our debut in Super Rugby against the Western Force, nothing more,” said Solomons.
Well, if they do not have enough black players, then at least the jerseys will be black… hehehe
Miskien maak hul nou Micheal Jackson se song “Doesnt matter if you are black or white hul team song.
Again a team stealing the colours of the Sharks. No brains atall to think up their own identity
net omdat jy soos die all blacks try lyk beteken dit nie jy gaan so speel nie
@ smallies:
En dieselfde gaan vir die Sharks. net omdat hulle hul truie van die Kiwis gesteel het beteken nie dat hulle soos die All Blacks sal speel nie.
@ Stormersboy:
Actually go look at the history, Sharks have always been Black and White, since their start
@ Stormersboy:
ek sal die sharks hullr swaft truie gee dit was immers altyd hulle kleur
@ Sharks_forever:
I don’t know, are there any photos of them pre- the mid to late ’80s??
@ smallies:
Stem saam Smallies.
@ Sharks_forever:
Ja just messing with you.
@ Stormersboy:
The KwaZulu-Natal Sharks is a South African rugby union team that participates in the annual Currie Cup tournament. The Sharks’ home stadium is Kings Park. They draw most of their players from the KwaZulu-Natal Province. The Sharks are the current representative team of the Natal Rugby Union, founded in 1890. The team was known simply as ‘The Banana Boys’ until the mid-1990s.
Their Jerseys were black and white with the Wildebeest logo
@ Stormersboy:

A least when they get record defeats and decide that Rugby is dead in the Eaastern Cape they won’t have to wear black arm bands!
The quota player is a doos…. and I’m not talking about the black player…
This is one game I am NOT going to miss !!!!!!
Anyone watched Cheeky’s interview on news24 earlier this week? He is still wearing his orange Cheetah shirt, I noticed…..and he is still quoting from the Scriptures as if on a divine mission down in EP, eishhh!
What a deadbeat this wannabee rugby missionary is; one has to feel for all those aspiring young black stars in the Border region who don’t even have tv to watch the matches while Cheeky and Son are lining there pockets from ‘black rugby development’ in the Eastern Cape.
@ xkreniwp
‘Talking black and living white’, the Watson family Code of Arms.
@ Pietman: So waar!!!!
@ xkreniwp:
Nou gaan my goeie vrind Superbul my weer aanvat oor my anti-Watson houding, watch!
Hi Oom Piet. You still there between the Camel Jockeys?
@ Scrumdown:
Ja ou seun, steeds, so in en uit.
Hoe hang dinge jou kant?
@ Pietman:
Vrou se suster sal my seker vrek maak. lol
@ Scrumdown:g!
CAO is reg.
Well I don’t agree with this. Why does another team in our conference want to wear the same colours as the Sharks? So daft actually why not have their own identity with their OWN colours? Natal who became the Sharks has a ALWAYS worn Black and White. So Kings now want to wear the same colours? Pathetic really.
And their other jeresey is all white??????????????? Just like the Sharks?????? Crikey do they still think they part of the Sharks? Both the black and white jersey is what we have worn forever.
29 @ Puma:
Just wont be the same if I don’t at least make ONE typo………
Should read – jersey
