Brumbies 17 / 6 Reds
As is no 5 pointer for Brumbies and no bonus point for Reds
Was the Reds of 2 seasons ago, just a flash in the pan, winning Super Rugby?
Digby Ioane slips through little gaps… is it his “Camouflage” tattoos making him harder to see?
Hehehe
Just more than a minute to go… we’ll definately have a Brumbies win
Jesse Mogg intercept… try Brumbies
Final Score: ACT Brumbies 24 / 6 Queensland Reds
Still, after this game it’s difficult to assess where the Aussie teams stand in Super Rugby.
What we do know is that the Reds are terrible… or were at least for this match
There goes the bonus point in SuperBru
But good scoring in Fantasy league thanks to Mogg
Let’s just drive the thread over the ton… a bit of a bad thread, seems there is not much interest in Aussie Rugby
Thanks for the blog and the chat gents, got things to do
101 @ Gena_ZA:
Tjorts, gooi mielies
I have 8 Notebooks to prepare still this weekend, so I guess I better get cracking too
Well done Brumbies.
Out of here now.
Cheers all.
This game was scrappy. JW emphasis on defence coming through and his concentration of getting the ball to the opponents half and win the breakdown. Pocock won the battle of the fetchers by a country mile and thus won the game for them.
Pocock has a team that will benefit from his fetching the beers.
Not really scrappy or defensive minded just that the referee allowed more at the breakdown than one is suppose. That allows defense to regroup and you will not see many tries in a game. If he doesn’t give much lean way the breakdown you will see a lot of tries being scored. Just watch closely

JW has sorted out the brumbies defensive structures in all facets of play. Hence my comment defensively he has changed them…. His focus on defender wins you games. The scrappy part was there was too many stop starts due to dropped ball and infringements at the breakdown. Ref could not let any of them go but he somehow did not show the YC sooner like he was threatening.
It was a test like game but can’t draw much from it. Cooper had no space to do anything.
@ Wallabie.:
There was more loitering than at a hobo convention. If the ref is not strict and cheaters like Pocock and other fetchers get away with more the less tries and more organised defensive units we see. 1 second in rugby equals almost to 10 or 20 meters in rugby and enough time for defenses to reorganize themselves
