MTN Lions ChallengeThe Lions’ next scheduled MTN Lions Challenge match against Namibia in Windhoek, has been cancelled.

According to the Lions’ Facebook page, the match scheduled for Saturday, February 23 will no longer be played. No reason for the late cancellation was given.

As a result, the Lions’ next match will be against French side Mont de Marsan on March 16 at Ellis Park.

The Lions have won three of their four matches to date as they come to terms with life outside of Super Rugby.

    According to some reports elsewhere on the web, Namibia pulled out stating that their players lack of conditioning was the reason.

    Hope there is a compensation clause.
