SA 135 / 4 after 45.3 overs, Amla gone.
Faf du Plessis in and he immediately hits a 4… goodie
My business partner in the Funeral Business is at the bedside of his father who is in ICU… fighting for his life.
My thoughts are with Perrie Malan, his wife Yolanda, his brothers and sisters… and his father, whom I’ve met and done a little bit of business with.
Staan strek my vriend, en vennoot!
Jis maar dis ‘n swaar dag oral, Dr. Louis Luyt, Pierre Joubert en ook jou vriend se Vader.
Sterkte en Godseën aan almal se famielies
AB de Villiers & Faf du Plessis not finding it easy to score.
AB on 3 from 30 balls, Faf on 7 off 29 balls.
SA 145 / 4
Seems that some of Helkom’s servers have fallen over today… I’ve had to switch to 3G for any speed on the Internet.
Hello all, didn’t get round to the cricket till now, looks as if its 50/50 at the moment from the score with neither team really on top, hope these two dig in and put on a big partnership as we all know all its takes in cricket is a few quick wickets to start a procession, GO SA!
AB goes to a ball that doesn’t move. Thick edge. He simply didn’t read that one
37 @ Just For Kicks:
Hey, don’t edit when I’m in the Edit Window!
Faf out…
SA 232 / 6
80 Overs gone, Pakistan can take the New Ball… but will they?
No, they are staying with the old ball for now…
New Ball has now been taken
SA 239 / 7 after 82 overs.
Robin Petersen departs, after leaving a ball he should’nt have.
7 Overs left in Day 1
SA 240 / 8
Jeeez
Flok…
Philander run out as well.
SA 243 / 9
SA 253 All Out
Oh no all out for 253 is not very good, so just after saying just over 2 hours ago that it was 50/50 the advantage is now Pakistan’s, unless we get a few quite wickets if there is enough time left today 🙁
Pakistan certainly wrapped up the Blomme tail with ease….
So the last 10 overs of the SA innings saw 40 runs scored BUT for the loss of 5 wickets, why of why the 2 run outs, this is the bane of my life, really detest seeing run outs in test cricket!!!
48 @ Bullscot:
We should bowl only about 3 Overs before close of play
Looks like Pakistan will have to face two overs still today.
51 @ grootblousmile:
Oeps sorry must have been typing my post just when yours was going up GBS.
At something like 160/4 it looked fairly even but as I said with the caveat that the pair there stayed there for a while as so often a wicket or two falls and then the advantage is with the bowling team as collapses can happen from there, see the last 4 wickets of SA fell in 7 overs for only 21 runs.
53 @ Bullscot:
No problem… 2 or 3 overs…
Pakistan get 6 runs off the 1st over
2 nd Over a maiden from Dale Steyn.
Stumps Day 1
SA 253 All Out
Pakistan 6 / 0 after 2 overs
Pakistan will surely sleep happier than SA after that you have to say its day 1 to Pakistan, not very good by the Test champions, hope for many wickets for SA tomorrow.
Hi JFK see you logged in, hope all going with you guys, pity no more snow lately but I guess you got your fix of it, is any left on the ground or has it all melted like here. Enjoy the rugby this weekend, hope that even though you’re south of the border you will still be shout SCOTLAND tomorrow! 🙂
BRUMBIES 20 FORCE 18
Former Test winger Clyde Rathbone showed he has lost none of his skill, turning in a solid performance in his return from retirement as the Brumbies beat Western Force 20-18 in a Super Rugby trial.
Rathbone, who retired in 2009 due to injuries and suffered depression while away from the game, showed power to score Brumbies’ second try of the night at Rugby Park in Darwin.
The 31-year-old Rathbone, a former Wallabies winger, showed no signs of the persistent injuries that prematurely put his career on hold.
‘‘Not long now until the first game and it is all shaping up well,’’ Rathbone said.
