Jean de Villiers & Heyneke MeyerThe South African Rugby Union have revealed the Springboks’ list of international fixtures for the 2013 season which ends with a Test in France for the first time since 2009.

The Springboks start their internationals in June as usual followed by the Rugby Championship and end with a three match tour of Europe which features Tests in Scotland, Wales and France.

The venues for the first two Springbok Tests of 2013 have been reversed to avoid an event clash which was caused by the Top Gear motoring event in Durban on June 15 and 16.

The opening fixture of a new-look quadrangular tournament between the Springboks, their RWC 2015 opponents, Scotland and Samoa, as well as Italy, will now take place at Kings Park in Durban on Saturday, June 8.

The second round will be played at the Mbombela Stadium in Nelspruit – the first-ever Test at that venue.

Furthermore, the Springboks will play their away-fixtures during The Rugby Championship in Mendoza on August 24 (against Argentina), Brisbane on September 7 (against Australia) and Auckland on September 14 (against New Zealand).

In November, the Springboks will return to France for the first time since 2009. It will only be the third Test against the French since South Africa won the Rugby World Cup in Paris in 2007. The venue for this Test still has to be confirmed by the hosts.

The Springboks will also play Tests against Scotland and Wales on their traditional season-ending tour to Europe.

All home matches are subject to the conclusion of commercial terms with planned hosting venues and all fixtures are subject to change.

    What a day I’ve had… eishhhh

Started this morning with the phone going twice whilst I was still in bed. Only got to bed in the first place at freegin 03:00 in the morning after Handbriekie and I sat chatting the hind leg off a donkey about all our new ventures, my and her respective new plans and ideas for 2013, Rugby-Talk, the funeral thingy, the freegin Print Industry, BonzaiGBS’ Varsity stuff, new double-door fridge freezers, running away to Phuket together and sipping umbrellaed drinks on a beach somewhere before embarking on a joint Rugby Tour to New Zealand….

Then at the office a VPN Network to register and configure for a client right from the start and to set it up by means of remote control between The Strand and Pretoria and with a tie-in here at my office… and of course Helkom was involved with their freegin VPN Lite package and kak. One Helkom Techie in the Strand farking around, and another freegin Helkom Techie in Pretoria farking around worse! Still not sorted because some of the Telkom Equipment for the Voip Phone System, which will run over the VPN (brand new) is farked.

    Umpteenth number of E-Mails.
    4 Different clients arriving unannounced
Number of PC’s to fix, number of quotes to get out to clients

It was Rugby-Talk, the Bulls and Stormers new Media Accreditations for 2013, Rugby-Talk E-Mail addresses, the news articles on Rugby-Talk ect.

It was also the Funeral place (got 2 new funerals in today, one of an old lady who died here at Tweedie Park Old Age Home in the Panne, body fetched 03:00 this morning and another, a suicide of a 22-year old girl who shot herself with her mother’s revolver or pistol).

…. it was freegin everything at once, all at once, all on top of one another….. crazy shit.

I guess you could say I was busy…. hahahaha

Not too worried about the incoming tours just hope we don’t pick up any injuries there as we will be playing Samoa probably.

So we have the same fixture as last year in the RC by starting off by playing Arg here only at a different venue. I like the fact that we end playing the ABs here, also makes for a exciting finish if we can win some away games this year. Pleased to see us playing ABs back at Ellis Park again. Sort of like (home for the Boks) that stadium. Just hope we can beat them at home this time round also away, we should have beaten them in Dunedin this year had we had a kicker. What a pity Lambie was left on the bench there. It was really only our goal kicking that cost us in that game. At FNB we were hammered simply as that.
