Hello GBS and superBul, Happy New Year, hope you guys had a lekker feestyd!

  • 4

Not too much time here tonight, so its back to work for all you lazy folk tomorrow, not so this side for most folk, the 2nd is a holiday in Scotland, but not in England, must be a bit like the Kaapse 2de nuwe jaar, more time to recover from the excesses of the festive season Happy

Hopefully Dean Elgar scores loads of runs to kick start his test career, considering he is still finding his feet at this level and am still not convinced AB should be keeping I think maybe we could have played de Kock instead of Elgar and made with do the keeping, although not yet seen de Kock keep wicket yet what are your guys thoughts purely on his keeping abilities? It is important for tests to have a guy who can keep wicket well not a bits and pieces keeper batsmen.

    @ Bullscot:
Sorry i missed you was working on some stats about Kallis and the possibility of him ending as the top run scorer.
If his body and form can last another 18 months it will be on.

  • 9

    Is Smith out yet?

  • 10

    9 @ Loosehead:
    Bwahahahha

Nah. Survived a DRS review on his playstation though.

Oh and Happy New Year to all of the RT Bloggers who will be active during the Super Rugby competition. I hope you all have successful years.

Do we have any Kings supporters registered yet? Oh damn, just realised, after just having spent a week down there I remebered that PE doesn’t have the internet web thingy yet, so it’s doubtful,

To those of us who won’t be active with SR, I hope I see you all at Ellis Park for the Lions Challenge.

Morning all and a Happy, peaceful and prosperous New Year to all on RT. I know that many of you will have to weather some disappointment this year as the Stormers make a clean sweep of the Super Rugby, Currie Cup and even the Mid year tests. 😀 But do not despair, we all still united through our mutual love of Rugby (and mutual disdain for Richie mcCaw) 🙂

Anyway on to the Cricket. I expect it will be left to the Cape Cobras players in the side to do the majority of the work this morning but we have become used to this and so we don’t complain. 😀

    Enjoy guys~!!

  • 16

Great… Martin Guptill is already out… hehehehe

    jip, liggaam is moeg!!

  • 19

    18 @ Ashley:

Ek self voel soos ‘n splinternuwe sikspens.

  • 25

Wow this is not the start that NZ would have wanted, but all credit to Vernon. A real Class act and well on his way to becoming one of SA’s great bowlers.

  • 26

At this rate we could be batting well before lunch on Day 1…. hehehe

  • 27

Vernon causing havoc – me likes

  • 30

Morning all, happy new year again. Good to see Philander back on form, and playing the type of cricket that he should be! He really does have something – just shows, you don’t have to be a Brett Lee or Alan Donald or Dale Steyn with lightening fast balls. A simple line and length Glen McGrath, Sean Pollock or VERNON PHILANDER does just as well, if not better
