179 @ Gena_ZA:
I am updating the scores from there each time a wicket falls.
176 @ Gena_ZA:
Not a good reflection on us with the fiasco there at the cricket.
180 @ Gena_ZA:
Oompie Puma has a Parrafine PC…. I’ve often told him…. but he is convinced his trusty old skedonk is fine…. hehehe
NZ 81 / 5 after 19.2 overs
Ahhhhh, TV feed is back!
180 @ Gena_ZA:
Not sure, what it is. Used to happen here a lot to me only. Though have to say have not had a problem for a long time. Used to get it all the time until a year or so ago. Today it has been frustrating posting during the cricket because it takes so long for my post to go through or to refresh.
83/5
186 @ Puma:
If it only happens to you, where is the fault?
Told you a while ago, your Router still thinks it is in Joburg and not in Umhlanga… having looked at the IP addresses you pick up from the DNS Servers….
Your Router is probably set with static DNS Server Addresses in stead of them being set to Dynamically assigned DNS IP addresses…. which would make much more sense.
Ask Gena, he knows about these things too.
183 @ grootblousmile:
Not this one it is almost brand new. So have not a clue why it is taking so long to post today.
188 @ Puma:
It is YOUR Router, not your PC… could have some issues on the PC too, but I think the Router is the scoundrel.
187 @ grootblousmile:
I had two one in Joburg and the one here which has always been the one I work from here. So have no idea why it is picking me up in Joburg.
190 @ Puma:
Kak IT techie in your neck of the woods….
189 @ grootblousmile:
It could be or has to be because this is new pc. Not sure why the router picks me up in Joburg though, because like I said I have only used this one here. The one from Joburg is in my study cupboard somewhere.
First off, try another browser, Chrone, IE or Firefox
If still the same, it is PC or connection related
When last did you restart it and does the genny have enough wood in?
190 @ Puma:
Look, I can see from here you use Helkom as your ADSL ISP… and quite frankly some of their techies are seriously up to maggots.
191 @ grootblousmile:
Yeah, that must be the problem. I think that could be it.
194 @ grootblousmile:
When I still had my Joburg home and worked from there I never had a problem there at all never. The problem I get is from here in Umhlanga. Only on your site as well. Now I only blog here as you know so it drives me nuts…hehe. Have not had the problem for awhile now just today, because the rugby is starting damn it…
NZ 91 / 5 after 23 overs.
We’re still not out of the woods…
Come on Blomme we need 2 more wickets
@GBS
Got my hands on some rare Springbok digital media
Ons moet praat dat jy dit kan kom kry – 32Gb mem stick sal doen
196 @ Puma:
Could be a redundancy issue at your Telkom Exchange in your vicinity too (There where your ADSl Card is installed at the exchange)… too much bandwidth going in or out of the same exchange sometimes creates bottlenecks in the traffic.
198 @ Gena_ZA:
You’re in Centurion or Midrand, right?
yes, Centurion – Highveld ext 8
199 @ grootblousmile:
Could be I have no idea boet.
Now they lose transmission again. Damn it is making us look like idiots here. Going to give up watching the cricket and will be back for the Rugby later. Cheers boeta catch up during the Lions game.
201 @ Gena_ZA:
Well, I come to Midrand regularly, maybe we should go do a good little Pub lunch one day then…
That went through in 10 seconds!
Catch up later. Giving up on the cricket, too frustrating waiting for it to come back then lose transmission again.
See you all later during the rugby here.
NZ 101 / 5 after 24.5 overs
we can do that sure and/or keep the 23Feb open and come to my place for my Bday bash and the S15 SA games that Saturday.
You might just make some awesome friends
206 @ Gena_ZA:
We’ll organise… don’t worry, I’m a decent guy, who cleans up rather well…. hehehe
206 @ Gena_ZA:
I see your Internet Connection is with MTN Business.
🙂 Invites goes out next week
I need a Kings flag now that I took the Lions flag down in my lapa – that is where the fun is come rugby time
Wonder if they are in print yet
yes, Axxess is my ISP, they recently dumped IS for MTN
10Mb line and ready for 40Mb VDSL when it goes live – luckily on of my friends works for the company that sells the routers to Telkom
