Match notes |
|
Good morning, great it is very wet outside, so should stay indoors to watch the game
OK, start shuffeling up…. it’s a good day to do nothing but watch a bit of sport!
Come on Gena, keep me company here… seems the others are still fast asleep!
Game Underway!
Edge, through the hands, chance missed by NZ.
Who else but Biff, doing his usual….
SA 7 / 0 after 1 over
Wonder how good we really are?
Already a chance offered by the pathetic Kiwi’s
Smith, not to sure about him anymore, look at his average, just under 40 and compare to his opening partner, nearly 60
Almost getting to the stage where I want a better partner for Amla
7 @ Gena_ZA:
Smith has this habit of either edging it or cutting an edge onto his stumps… specially early on.
I have never liked the guy much.
see the pitch, as barren and flat as the perfect Kuruman lawn
Amla out LBW…. review pending
SA 25 / 1
OUT
Boom Amla out, he looked out of sorts today to say the least
So, Amla out for 13, 4.5 overs gone
Morning all, looking forward to a day of sport vegging – been a while.
I think that, for the first time in a long time (as far as I can remember) we have the most balanced, all round team in the world. Our problem, as usual is the mental side. However, I couldn’t think of a better person than Kirsten to sort that out. Believe it will take a year or two, but it will happen.
Since his cock up, and the way he handled it, I have huge respect for Smith. his average may by slightly lower than he would like, but what he offers as the captain is immeasurable. Surpasses every other captain by a country mile.
11 @ Gena_ZA:
Gena, so how have you found being an Author so far here at Rugby-Talk.
Adds a lekker twist to one’s experience, hey?
13 @ Just For Kicks:
Hello Kickers.
I see Beanie has joined our SuperBru Pools…. tell her she better be accurate… hehehe
Sup Mr Kicks, agree on your sentiments re Smith, on test level
I am a strong believer in selecting the best the best of each of the 3 disciplines in cricket
SA cricket now that Andrew Hudson is there, are getting closer to it
It’s a miffy overcast day here in the Panne, rained quite a bit in the night
Come on Biff, prove me wrong and prove Kickers right…. hehehe
I’m being swamped by Stormers supporters here… see Stormpoppieboy is in the background too
Biff out
SA 27 / 2 after 7.2 overs
Morning all. A sweltering day in the Cape today, hopefully some good cricket too.
This pitch is certainly not making it easy.
Boom there he goes, bye Smith
Back in a while, am summoned to a picnic in my 4 year old daughters room …
21 @ Stormersboy:
Morning Stormpoppie
I see the Old Fella with the wonky knees has arrived too… helloooooooooo Oompie!
… and Smalpielletjies 7.2 mm is in the background too….
Morning everyone.
Now this is a surprise, are we in for a good game here? Hope we are, really like to watch a battle out there.
Go Proteas!
Runs has dried up… almost totally
25 @ grootblousmile:
More klein boetie….
@ Gena_ZA:Yup, between Kirsten (in the engine room), and Hudson (in the design team), SA is really in a good place right now.
