The HSBC Sevens World Series was in South Africa this weekend, with the Cell C Nelson Mandela Bay Sevens tournament, the last Sevens tournament on the circuit for 2012.
New Zealand took the spoils after beating the South African Blitzbokke 12 / 5 in the Semi-final and thumping France 47 / 12 in the Final.
It was a better weekend for the men from South Africa though, getting through the pool stages unbeaten, also winning the Quarter final against the USA, but then stumbling against New Zealand, by only 7 points. South Africa demolished Argentina in the 3rd Place play-off, beating them by 35 / 0.

So, the Blitzbokke play USA tomorrow in the Cup qualifiers
Well done Blitzbokke.
Watching the crowd again, really think if they have such a small amount of people at a big stadium they should keep them all together in one half. Close the rest of the stadium. That way all the supporters are sitting close together, would surely make for a better atmostphere. Something they have to think about for next year,as PE still has another 7s tourney there.
Okay going to put the steaks on the braai now.

Yip man, it’s those bloody lungs again…
The “Healthy” lung has / had infection in it, the “Sick” lung which had a 3rd cut out already had fluid on it…
And the one eye had some blood vesels burst in it, making it dark, dark red… looks ghastly, but apparently blood vesels in the eyes can easily burst if there is not enough oxygen up there.
