I have deemed it fit to reward some regular contributors here on Rugby-Talk, by issuing them their own unique and absolutely FREE Rugby-Talk E-Mail Addresses – sporting 1Gb of Storage Data… and full functionality!
The regular Authors will get their Addresses whether they want them or not, I’ve already created them!
A Mail will be sent to you with your unique E-Mail Address as well as detailed instructions on how to configure the E-Mail Address!
As far as the other Rugby-Talkers are concerned, you will know if you’re a regular contributor here at Rugby-Talk… and that automatically qualifies you for your Rugby-Talk E-Mail Address as well, with 1Gb of storage data and full functionality!
So, if you want an E-Mail Address, mail me at webmaster@rugby-talk.com , simple as that.
The mail address will be something like puma@rugby-talk.com or smallies@rugby-talk.com or stormersboy@rugby-talk.com … or of course your own choice of precurser to the @rugby-talk.com portion.
I consider it small reward for a rugby community well built, based on mutual respect and is the least we can do to say thanks for your welcome and regular contributions.
Regards,
Selfs mens Helkom of M-Web addies word beperk to 10Meg of so.
Met ander woorde, met die R-T Mail adres word jy slegs beperk deur die grote van die ander ou se kapassiteit… jou eie kan genoeg vat!
To the Authors, just give me an indication via Mail that you have received your E-Mail Accounts info…
(Have a look at the E-Mail Address you are registered under here at R-T)
I have, but I can’t set it up. I have set up all my other emails successfully, but the R-T one isn’t recognised.
4 @ Just For Kicks:
Bloody Apple Junky…. hehehe
Did you follow the Instructions in detail AND have a look at the PDF file attached with pictures?
I took Handbriekie to the Airport this morning early, so I’m wifeless this week… therefore can and will work late every night this week….
… can’t bloody sleep alone, not built for that one anymore… eishhh
Strange how habits get set and becomes ingrained and part of your routine!
@ grootblousmile:Yup, error message says: “Logging on to POP server ‘mail.rugby-talk.com’ failed. Make sure user name and password you entered are correct. The user name I used is my full name, and password is the one you sent me.
7 @ Just For Kicks:
Phone me quick….
Your User Name is your E-Mail address (the one I sent), your password also the one I sent, first letter is a Capital Letter (important)!
@ grootblousmile:OK, will try with email address, if doesn’t work, will phone you
9 @ Just For Kicks:
Read the Instructions again too… there are important factors governing the Outgoing Server of the Pop3 Account…
@ grootblousmile:please send an email to the new address, just want to see if it is correct
10 @ grootblousmile:On an apple it is very different, you don’t get any of the details you have. Apple seems to be able to do it all for you. Seems that I had the user name incorrect, the rest seemed to work. Just need to test it now
12 @ Just For Kicks:
There is a manual override… on Apple too.
If you let Apple or Apple’s Outlook (or PC Microsoft’s Outlook) search it automatically for you, certain details might be wrong and refer to the Imap settings and not the Pop 3 settings…
Remember, Outlook is a Microsoft product, whether it runs on an Apple or a decent PC… the PC version of Outlook also has an Automatic search function… but I deliberately choose to stay away from it, for good reason.
Hello Gbs just settled here after tea and a looong day at work so popped in quickly to tidy up most recent article I put up. Sounds like you have a busy night ahead there, won’t be long before I nod off is lekker moeg vanaand there been some nasty colds going round so hopefully not catching one as a nice big weekend to look forward to just a pity two more nights to go before then. Got your email thanks will have a closer look in the morning how it works in the meantime thank you very much will be handy to have such a lot of email space.
14 @ Bullscot:
Remember, you get the benefit of that “Space” and “capacity” on Rugby-Talk’s server only if you set up the E-Mail Account ON your PC… on Microsoft Outlook or another Mail Program (Pop 3 Account)… otherwise your new Rugby-Talk Mail address will just be a facilitator on Rugby-Talk’s server, forwarding the mail to your shitty original “warmpos” account….
Do you not use Microsoft Office (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint & MS Publisher)… and if you do… is Microsoft Outlook installed (even though you currently do not use Outlook)?
Typically Microsoft Outlook itself will have 2Gb to 4Gb’s worth of Usable or Archiveable space per mail Account (depending which version of Office is used)… the 1Gb I refer to in the Article is just for mails in waiting, not downloaded or cleared from Rugby-Talk’s server (pending mail).
The Rugby-Talk Mail Account is a fully functional individual Mail Account… like any ISP would host for you, just as private, just as complete… maybe just better due to the increased size limits I’ve set and stipulated. In other words, Rugby-Talk has become your Mail Service Provider.
OK GBS as jy nog op is HELP, count on me i farked it all up
