Springbok lock Eben Etzebeth has been cited for allegedly making contact with a the eye of a Scotland player in the Test match played at Murrayfield on Saturday.

rugbyweek

Following this weekend’s round of Autumn International matches, two players have been cited by independent IRB Citing Commissioners.

The South African lock forward Etzebeth, was cited by Alan Mansell of England for contact with the eye(s) or eye area under Law 10.4 (m) on Scotland No 10, Greig Laidlaw, after 14 minutes of the second half of the match at Murrayfield on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Juan Figallo, Argentina’s prop forward, was cited by Mike Rafter of England for striking with the head (Law 10.4 (a)) on French Captain Pascal Pape at the end of the first half of the match in Lille on Saturday.

Under IRB Regulation 17, hearings for both players will be held on Tuesday (Etzebeth) and Wednesday (Figallo) this week before independent IRB-appointed Judicial Officers.

the fact is all are now coming down on HM, what did Jake do to our Rugby, he needed Eddie Jones to get something going in the Bok team again, we were so stuck in defense it was frustrating. PdeV according to most here farked our whole rugby traditions up, and still he is the only coach to have 3 in a row against the All Blacks, so no one did great , and no one reinvented a Bok game plan that we loved. I know for one thing i would love to one day have 3 wins in a row again against the ABs. May i dream of a longer streak?…
    WIN ANYWAY will be OK

😆 thanks bro will send it in a few

    87 @ Sharks_forever:
Okay looks like I won’t get out of here……..hahahahaha.

Exactly correct bro agree. The game plan has to change, we being left behind. Meyer needs help he should just go get it. His assistants are not doing it at all. He should speak Plum he got it right, or Mitchell before he leaves, just get him in as a consultant. Anyone is better than who he has right now.

We had a light loose trio and it worked brilliant. Our centres were never that big actually not big at all and we played brilliant rugby with them. Size does not matter it is how you play the game.

    Good Night everyone.

    @ Puma:
ExACTLY Pooms, look HM is a very good Head coach, he just needs to realise where he is going wrong and get the right backup staff to achieve this.

  • 99

    @ Puma:
You can cry , bitch whatever, the fact is HM is slowly but surely getting his team in line with what he sees fit. And dammit i would love it just as much if we beat the others with ugly rugby, tries will come, great ones too, be patient.
If we lose to England on Saturday , well then poor old HM will get a ton of bricks on his head.

@retiefdan If it was an All Black the citing officers and IRB would act like it never happened or confess that it was a harmless accident

@retiefdan Come on Dan, there’s no conspiracy here. Let’s wait for the hearing first. Alan Mansell is an experienced and good citing off

Sharkie i did not blame anyone for the so called poor play this weekend, but i dont share the absulute confidence you Shark boys have in Lambie. He is not International quality in my eyes. Also feel that way about Goosen. But thats me….

Former Springbok centre and well known Stellenbosch University coach Ian Kirkpatrick has died in Somerset West at the age of 82.

Kirkpatrick, who made 13 Test appearances for the Springboks between 1953 and 1961, died in his sleep at home on Sunday morning.

“He owed much of his eminence to his reputation as an outstanding coach and mentor to generation after generation of Springbok players, as well as for his contribution to non-racial rugby,” the South African Rugby Union (Saru) said on Monday.

“In 1970 he led his native Griqualand West to arguably the most unexpected victory in the Currie Cup’s history when he coached his childhood province to an 11-9 victory over Northern Transvaal.”

@ superBul: Well we dont all think MOrne is all he is made out to be by BUlls supporters, you wont see me hammering on that fact though, Infact If you know me at all on here you will see i do not like the trashing of players,

  • 115

I am of to bed too, night

  • 116

    @ grootblousmile:
    exactly
But you know I am right, Fix the game plan with the players we have and of coourse those to come back from injury or playing over seas?? boks could rule again

  • 117

    @ superBul:

Likewise young man, we all have our favourites, go well go shell

  • 118

    Daze
