@ Bullscot:Hiya Bully, how was work?
Morning all.
Possibly the 3 best opening bowlers SA have produced in combination??
SA attack receiving a lot of praise from legendary Glenn McGrath in the Oz comm box.
61 @ Just For Kicks:
Hi JFK you get a good a rest? Been ok here thanks, will be good to get some shut eye for a bit soon then up in a few hours to see my lad at Remembrance parade with his Boys Brigade, not going to be easy to get up but will be worth it, so proud to see him all smartly dressed in the uniform badges etc.
Its hard to criticize the SA bowlers at the moment but I see my usual bugbear that out of 45 runs there are already 9 extras.
Morning folks. It was getting kinda lonely out here.
Just fed the Maluti Mountain Dog (don’t tell Loosehead I called it that, ok?) and looking forward to another wicket before the close.
I’ll sleep after that. National commitments come first.
@ Bullscot:Have a great day, take some pics!!!
66 @ fender:
Howzit fender what on earth is a Maluti Mountain dog?
62 @ Stormersboy:
Howzit to you to Stormersboy hope going well your side, these 3 bowlers are certainly really in good form at moment.
@ fender:
Good man.
67 @ Just For Kicks:
Thanks mate will do, have a super day that side with your family. Really need to head away hope for lots more wickets today, enjoy the rest of day’s cricket guys
@ Bullscot:
Yeah all good thanks, catching some last minute cricket, then some chores around the house, Kids writing exams so not up to much this weekend. Maybe pop over to the beach later if they can get through their work.
Right, Hi ho, hi ho, it’s off to work I go – Last day in the restaurant. Yeehaa!
Hehe!
Bullscot, Loosehead will tell you that there ain’t no breed like that and he knows his dogs – apparently went out with one in his younger years. 😉
But its a cross between a Anatolian Shepherd and a Boerbull that my wife’s got from Lesotho. Hence, the Maluti Mountain reference and also the dog’s name i.e. Sky from the Sky Kingdom.
Big and beautiful biscuit coloured dog. Very intelligent.
@ fender:
Sounds like quite a dog.
Must need a fair bit of exercise?
Hi Stormer, yes lots of exercise when she was younger but she’s 10 now so we’ve scaled down a bit…
You don’t know about a reputable Anatolian Shepherd breeder here in the Cape, do you?
So, no forth wicket then although we were robbed by that referred no ball call on Morne.
111/3 at the close.
See ya..
@ fender:
There is a breeding program at Spier in Stellenbosch where they breed them as guard dogs for farmers to protect their Sheep against Cheetahs, as part of the Cheetah conservation program. The idea behind it is to stop the farmers shooting cheetahs when they attack the sheep and rather have the flock protected. Apparently Anatolians make fantastic “guardians” as they are physically big enough to deal with the Cheetahs and brave enough to not back down.
Here is a link, you can contact them and ask about breeders?
http://www.cheetah.co.za/an_breeding.html
Good luck!
Oz 464/4
Clarke on 204. The Aussies have come straight back at us. Pity that Morne was called for a no ball yesterday as looking at it no way was it a no ball. How can they get it wrong when they have a tv right there to look over and over at it? Also we were a batsman short without Duminy and here we are a bowler short without him as well. Pity as he is a top class player. Think this will end in a draw though.
Let this be a lesson to the selectors not to leave our a genuine spinner.
our = out
Jeeeez, Cricket looking dour hey….
Hello Cheetah long time no speak hows it going man?
SA leading by 36 runs with 5 wickets in hand and around 25 overs left of play today – looks like this one could be heading for a draw but you never know a few more quick wickets from Aus and it could be interesting
Aus declared on 565/5 – Michael Clarke 259 not out, Husset out on 100. 3 wickets for Morne Morkel. SA now 151/4 Ab de Villiers and Jaque Rudoplh at the crease.
SA 164/4 lead by 49 runs
Still another hour to go, should be a draw then you never know.
Good morning Puma thanks for the company on the cricket thread, sorry but am going to have to leave you in a bit almost work time.
84 @ Bullscot:
Morning Bullscot,
You looking forward to going to Murrayfield this week? See there are a few injuries to the Scottish side. Pity as we always want to play the best. Seems like your openside flank will be out and probably Visser as well.
86 @ Bullscot:
Yip the crici thread is normally quite here. Normally only Superbul and myself that watch the cricket here.
quite = quiet
165/5 just lost a wicket now. Lead only by 50. Damn this could turn quick still another hour to go.
Come on boys just damn concentrate now.
