Go Pumas! Moer die Wobblies sommer nog meer stukkend!
Loosehead will be your Captain for this one, but he might have problems updating the scores in the header, working from his tablet.
So watch out for the scores in the comments itself… the Article and scorers will be remedied in the morning if Loosehead does not manage to update the header scores with the tablet.
Gooooooo Pumas!
Vamos Los Pumas!
GOOOOOOO SHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRKSSSSSSSSSSSSS
what the heck am i doing, should rather go and sleep
Pure madness
Go Pumas!
@ superBul:
At least you’re not yet as crazy as Sharky
maybe its the stuff he takes
Can the Wobblies go ahead of the Boks?
@ superBul:
Skark fin soup?
Quintin van Jaarsveld rates the Springbok players.
15 Zane Kirchner
Mixed his game up well. It wasn’t the usual aerial bombardment from him and he made few errors. Having said that, much like the gap between the teams was the gap between the fullbacks.
6.5/10
14 Bryan Habana
Blew hot and cold. He continued his try-scoring spree but undone his good work when he rushed up and cost the Springboks seven points. Also butchered a try in the second half when he spilled a pass near the line.
6.5/10
13 Jaco Taute
Much like last weekend, he was rock solid on defence but ineffective on attack. His kick that missed touch resulted in the All Blacks’ opening try.
6/10
12 Jean de Villiers
For the sheer magnitude of the occasion, playing the old enemy in front of 80,000 fans, the Springbok captain was puzzlingly lethargic. He simply wasn’t switched on, throwing no-look passes to no-one and was a bit fortunate to get away with the forward pass to Habana for the opening try.
5/10
11 Francois Hougaard
The dangers of being considered an utility back came back to bite Hougaard and the Boks as the natural scrumhalf was exposed on defence on the left wing.
5/10
10 Johan Goosen
A really disappointing outing for the 20-year-old. It was déjà vu all over again as he missed his first two penalties before he limped off before half-time.
4/10
9 Ruan Pienaar
Continued his nurturing role playing with two inexperienced flyhalves and needs to be commended for his accurate distribution and how he adjusted to playing with the left-handed Elton Jantjies.
6.5/10
20 Elton Jantjies (on for Goosen, 34th minute)
After a solid start he too fell victim to the Springbok goal-kicking curse. In no way was he overwhelmed by the occasion, however, which says much about his composure and hints at a bright international career.
6.5/10
@ superBul:
Would disagree with the rating for JdV. I thought he had his best game yet for the Boks. Would give him a 6/7. He was certainly not the worst of the backs. Bit harsh on Goosen too as he was so clearly injured.
Australia leading 6 – 0 after 2 penalties.
@ The_Young_Turk:
I have a dislike for Jean so i will stay out of this, he is NOT a good captain, in fact very few backs are International captain material.
And Pumas kick a penalty to move 3 – 6 behind.
HERNANDEZ PENALTY! 3-6! Now it is Michael Hooper penalised for not rolling away so it is a first opportunity for Pumas number ten Juan Martin Hernandez from 45 metres out. Whack, he meant that as he cuts the lead back down to three points.
Patricio Albacete is the next penalised by referee Craig Joubert at the breakdown for hands so Harris again calls for the tee. Stay right there. Should be 3-9.
PENALTY ARG 6-9
@ superBul:
JdV is definitely not a 13 and was mediocre while playing there. He is captain because all the other provincial captains are injured and there is no clear other player. He should definitely not be captain next year.
The Pumas not playing with the same fire we saw in their earlier games. The match against the ABs really knocked their confidence it seems. Looks like the Wobblies are going to take this one comfortably.
@ The_Young_Turk:
I just hope HM is not really a Ostrich like Kickers call him and blindly stays with him.
Ioane is having a nightmare. Three knock-ons in three attempts I make it today. It doesn’t cost his side though who are downfield soon after with a line-out 20 out.
PENALTY AUS 12-6
@ superBul:
Unfortunately HM has shown a tremendous reluctance to accept any change to his pre-arranged plans. As for example in the Dunedin test when he waited until it was too late to substitute Morne and in the test against the Wallabies when he waited to substitute an injured Goosen and then once again the same pattern in the test today.
a penalty fest, is Arg really so undisciplined or cant the refs take their very physical aproach?
@ The_Young_Turk:
He plans things beforehand and then wants to force circumstances to follow his plan instead of the other way.
ALBACETE YELLOW! Too many team offences.
@ superBul:
They seem to struggle against SH refs.
@ The_Young_Turk:
What he needed is the core of Victor, FduP, Spies and Danie Roussouw. They would have played to his plan perfectly.
I dont understand his choices
HERNANDEZ PENALTY! 9-15! Now the Wallabies offend by collapsing a driving maul so it’s Hernandez’s turn to step up from wide on the left side.
