This should be a better match than the crap served up last night.
1 @ Loosehead:
Busy re-watching the Blue Bulls / WP game now on SS1… actually not such a bad game, was hard… maybe not flashy in terms of many tries, but I was impressed with Bjorn Basson’s return after injury and the purpose showed by the Blue Bulls.
Chiliboy was rusty as all hell… and a number of silly drop attempts by Louis Fouché… but not a bad game overall to watch.
WP was bad, apart from that brief period where they forced the penalty try.
Hi all, Lets hope this arvo serves up some good rugga. I am in need of some more decent stuff!! Been a long week, and time to put my feet up!
OK folks, shuffle up… it’s Currie Cup rugby….
Hello JFK and GBS, just popped in for a bit, was good to see we won last night, had a quick read through the game commentary here and it was job done basically for the Bulls basically making sure of a win and not fussing too much about the bonus point which is pretty much what coach Pienaar had said before the game and also obvious from his 5-2 bench pick. I think I read that Francois Venter was injured Gbs was it a serious one? How did Cook do?
3 @ Just For Kicks:
Yeah… so hard you’ve just been lurking in the shadows here… letting me do all the work!
Hahaha
Players out on the field, and as is usual Oom Bushie leads Kwas out
Game ON!
5 @ BullscotBok:
Hello Bully,
Jean Cook had a barnstorming debut for the senior team
3 @ Just For Kicks:
Hey man lucky you can sit back and watch the rugby now. I’m just away to have a quick bowl of soup to warm up and then back to bed, worked last night and then had a few hours sleep and then went down to watch my laaitie play football for his school but man don’t know if its because had so little sleep but it felt really cold with an icy wind, at least it was dry and sunny.
Fark, hot in Kimberley… and the pitch will be harder than ever
Not in straight by the Lions into the lineout, Kwas scrum
Free Kick Kwas… 2nd Lions lineout going pear
@ BullscotBok:You have a tough job, it must be said – wouldn’t want it for the world! Yup, weekend off for me. Off waterskiing with some friends tomorrow up at Misverstand for a couple of days – last big jol before we start packing up!
GO LIONS!!! and for later GO SHARKS, BOKS and AUSSIES!
6 @ grootblousmile:Lurking, definitively the operative word. Ooze in when I get a chance, but wine taking up alot of my time at the moment.
Very hot here in Gauteng… will be a hot afternoon at Soccer City, hope it suits the Bokke
9 @ grootblousmile:
Hi Gbs thanks man, good to hear that he had a good game, have said before that I read a lot about what a good player he is so have been hoping he gets chance to show that its not all be hype. Will be good to have him as an yster no. 7 for years to come.
18 @ BullscotBok:
There was just more urgency in the Blue Bulls compared to in WP’s feeble showing last night
16 @ Just For Kicks:
Should call you “Just For Lurks”…. hehehe
14 @ Just For Kicks:
Thats great you lucky to have some time off, should be fun skiing, sounds like its min dae for you guys.
Lions 3 / 0 Griquas
Lions get a relieving penalty on their own 22
19 @ grootblousmile:
Guess we needed to be more urgent with it being a do or die game, hopefully some results go our way and we can make it into the semi’s, and then hey depending on which Boks get released its anybody’s cup to win. Do you know if the Boks will be allowed to play the knockout games for their teams even if they haven’t played at all so far in the Currie Cup, or is there a requirement for the players to have played a minimum amount of games in the Currie Cup to be allowed in, think this is the case for Super rugby?
Damn freezing again down here in Brokebackville. Sometimes wonder if it will ever warm up again!
Baulking by Maku into the lineout… free kick Kwas… followed by a Kwas peanlty
Mmmmm this scotch broth is going down really well feel much warmer now Better get my Bru picks in for the tests before its too late
25 @ Just For Kicks:
Oh dear not that great to be out on the water then
24 @ BullscotBok:
The Boks will be allowed to play, yes…
Both coaches last night said they would consider Bokke injuries first, then look at how much game time each player has had
JP Nel puts in one of his traditional clothes-hanger tackles… penalty Lions
