Eish, I see there is an injury cloud over Flo and Adriaan Strauss!

Flo injured his neck on the weekend, and Adriaan Strauss was withdrawn from last Friday’s clash against the EP Kings. In addition Jean de Villiers is still nursing a troubling hammie.

Was just reading that on SuperSport.

If Flo is out injured wonder if Deon Fourie will get a call up? He was really good there on Saturday. Also if we lost Andriaan that would be a big loss. Not so sure on Chili’s form right now. He is very good just not sure about him been in top form. Then Brits will have to start. See they also mention that JdV may not start against Ireland. Too much rugby that is now taking its toll on the players bodies. Wish somehow we could just scrap the eoyt. They come at a time I think our players should be getting a rest. More injuries could come from this tour.

    Super you are wrong.

i certainly expected this reaction, wrong or right , thats how i see your star player.

Morne is finished, his back is broken by his marriage, they don’t make them strong anymore. Delighted

Bulls need a good no 10 , the 2 we have and Pollard are not convincing, hope WP can buy Catrakillis back and send Jantjes to us.

    Good morning all!

Why the Sharks lost (according to GTStormer who finished 3rd on Superbruon’t argue…so don’t argue with the woman, please!):

    * Sharks should have closed down the game with a 7 pointer on two occasions when they were 12-3 up (granted Habana’s monster tackle on JPP was one of the turning points);
    * Dr Jannie were taken off too early;
    * Sharks were disrupted in the line-outs by Etzebeth and they were thoroughly beaten on the deck at the breakdowns (obviously part of AC’s game plan);
    * Stormers’ defence didn’t allow Alberts, Bresler, Coetzee and Daniel any momentum at all and they were tackled backwards each time they tried to crash the ball up.

In short, the Sharks and their coaches were outsmarted.

    @ Pietman:

    @ Puma:
EOY tour should be about exposing as many new players to the set-up as possible, in my opinion.

So guys like Brits, Rhule, Mapoe should be in there along with the more experienced players.

    So with that in mind:

    1. Beast/Gurthro
    2. Chilli/Britz
    3. Jannie/Pat
    4. Eben
    5. Juandre (subbed by Bakkies with a positional switch)
    6. Deon Fourie (essential to have a fetcher)
    7. Alberts (subbed by Coetzee later)
    8. Vermeulen
    9. Pienaar
    10.Elton/Lambie
    11.Mvovo/Rhule
    12. JDJ
    13. Mapoe (Should have been Jordaan)
    14. JPP
    15. Zane / Lambie

A good team still and capable of giving the opposition a good snotting.

    @ Pietman:
Geluk op jou Superbru oorwinning. Ek sien jy is een voor my (weer).

    Ek skuld jou n bier.

You still going to be UAE way in January? I’ll be popping into Dubai for a few days.

jy kan vir my op my verjaarsdag n “barrel of oil” koop.

  • 44

    @ superBul:

  • 45

    @ grootblousmile:
    Watter ‘spelpatroon’ vannie Bulle?

  • 48

Again, a hearty congratulations to WP for winning the CC (as well as to GT for her incredible insight!), but also to both teams for making the final the spectacle it was. In the dying moments, Bean1 was screaming for the ref to blow the final whistle but I was hoping the Sharks would score a 7-pointer. Not because I didn’t want the WP to win, but because it was such an enjoyable match, and I wanted to see another 20 minutes!!!!

For me the biggest thing to come out of the CC – and the S15 and internationals, to a degree, is just how outdated the kick and chase game plan is. I foresee a S15 and CC devoid of such rugby next year (except perhaps for the BB), and also foresee the S15 cup residing in SA next year.

Great end to the season, and bodes well for the future. Well done again to both sides.

  • 49

    46 @ Pietman:
Ja, voor die Final was Catrakilis ‘n Goddelose Griek, nou is hy ‘n Griekse God!

    Hehehehe

    @ Just For Kicks:
Thank you from GT, that was.
She says Beanie must wait up, she is in G’bay two weeks from today exactly, wants to pop over to Elgin and say bye.

For something completely different, Windhoek Lager are to sponsor a Tri-Nations tournament between Namibia, Zimbabwe and Spain next month. This will be a series of matches starting in Windhoek on the 10th November.

  • 53

    @ Just For Kicks:
What’s this, a beer drinking contest?
    I’m in, hehehehehe!

  • 54

51 @ Pietman:No problem, she only files out on the 10th December, she has a number of functions she needs to cater for before then. She says she’s looking forward to the ‘date’!

  • 55

53 @ Pietman:Hahaha, think drinking may just be the major attraction!!!!

  • 56

    52 @ Pietman:
    What will it be called?

    The “Ole Hop-sa-sa Cup”?

  • 57

    @ Just For Kicks:
Conveyed the message, GT says she knows, they have aleady spoken on FB or something(so they are sorted then).

  • 58

OK, off to Pretoorsdorp…. chat later

Saw a good tweet regarding Eben Etzebeth – He’s not the next Bakkies, he’s the next Eben! Touché. By the way, it’s his birthday – must be nearly about time for him to retire, surely. Anyone over the age of 20 is over the hill, it seems, with all theses youngsters around!!!!

    @ grootblousmile:
Yes, me too, off…..I’m under doctor’s orders, sick leave while on leave, howzat!
