While the injury will require an operation to clean up, it is not a long term injury so Cooper may recover in time for the Wallabies’ end of year Northern Hemisphere tour.
A decision on the flyhalf’s availability for that trip will be made once his rehabilitation is underway.
The 28-man Wallabies squad for the away leg of The Rugby Championship, which features Tests in South Africa and Argentina, will be named tomorrow.
The team departs for South Africa on Thursday morning.
This should make them even easier to beat next week. The question is will HM choose the correct team and game plan though?
