Looking at the Toyota Cheetahs website, my eye caught some interesting names listed under their Currie Cup Squad for 2012.
The most interesting of those, was that of promising Junior Bok, Wilton Pietersen, whose career was cut short by a horrific car accident which nearly claimed his life. It is great to see him back and I hope he can recapture his former form.
Other noticeable names are those of long time Cheetahs fan-favourite Kabamba “Karamba” Floors, back from a long term knee injury as well as hard man Frans Viljoen, back from Italy.
Then of course the return from Australia of “Super” Sarel Pretorius.
Notable omissions are Coenie Oosthuizen, Waltie Vermeulen and Davon Raubenheimer. I am unsure if that is due to oversight, as I think Coenie Oosthuizen is due back relatively soon, Waltie Vermeulen is already available after missing most of the season due to studies and Davon Raubenheimer played vs the Cardiff Blues.
