I say again, HM must be in some sort of bull induced coma with some of his selections, in particular Steyn and Spoes and Kirchner. I wonder if the big guns at Blue Bulls rugby let him go on the understanding that….., no, I can’t be that low! But, really.

Kanko may have signed with a Japanese side, but so had FdP, so no argument there. He hasn’t left yet, either. Some truly bizarre selections, I think

  • 2

Sorry Bulls maar die name bevraagteken ekke.

    Dean Greyling
    Chiliboy Ralepelle
    Pierre Spies
    Jano Vermaak

Bulls scrum have been poor. Ralepele went of with a injury. Fourie can cover as hooker and 8th man. Where is Bresler who had a wonderful Super Rugby so far? Willie Le Roux which is one of the most underrated guys in this country should have been there together with Ludik who is 10 times the player Sideshow Bob is.Vermaak? He played less games than Sarel who he could have picked.

  • 3

OK, so who’s in that should not be in, considering injuries, unavailability, leaving for overseas?

Peter Popgun Grant…. hehehe… I’m afraid he does not have what it takes, as was seen in the Semi-Final at Newlands against the Sharks. No distance on line kicks, can’t take far penalties to goal… and simply does not have BMT.

Juan de Jongh & Paul Jordaan… now there might be 2 unlucky ones…

I personally think Pierre Spies is lucky to be there still, but with Duane Vermeulen still having to get game time and Kanko going overseas… it’s OK.

Why Andries Langbek is still rated… is beyond me.

    11 Blue Bulls
    10 Sharks
    5 WP
    2 Lions
    1 Cheetah
    1 Ulster (Ex Shark)

    @ grootblousmile:
You see here comes the provincial crap again which is why our rugby is taking a dump. Did I mention Grant?
    Bresler
    WP Nel
    Brussouw
    Fourie
    Pretoruis

Brok Harris can play first five 8 as well as he shown for the Stormers fecking in the backline when he should have been winning the balls in the rucks

  • 6

I think HM’s honeymoon may be well and truly over, and can see some very harsh criticism of him coming up over the next couple of weeks

  • 7

@ Spooony:I’m happy to mention Grant – If Stain deserves to be there, so does Peter Grant. He can’t do any worse than Stains kicking record of late, and he is a far better defensive unit!

  • 8

Steve Hofmeyer will replace Leon Schuster

  • 9

Brok Harris been playing 10 more than Grant lol

  • 10

@ Spooony:As has Langbek – maybe thats why he got another call up!

  • 11

HM is showing what many of us thought. A narrow conservative mindset that is stuck in the past and more afraid of changing and trying something new than failing. In his mentality it is better to fail with the same old, but hope things will change, than to actually try something different and see if it works or fails.

Then as soon as one criticizes him out come the provincialism and BB supporters rush to his defense as if one were calling their mother a good time girl. Some would say you are only criticizing him because he is from the Blue Bulls, instead of addressing the criticism. Of course everyone has their biases, we’re human after all, but lets respect that on this site the vast majority are passionate Bok supporters and want to see the Boks win. I for one don’t care which player HM picks; his granny if he wants, as long as the player performs and his team wins. HM showed during the third England test that he was addicted to Stain and now after all his nice talk and all the “give him a chance”, he has made F-all change.

It’s simple, if the player is not performing consistently, drop/rest him and give another player a chance.

  • 15

    @ bdb:
75 -14 game was fixed so that you mugs can play in a semi. Say thank you and stop watching the history channel. I can go back a 100 years and piss on your Currie Cup totals

  • 16

So gepraat van Suzie.

  • 18

Why on earth would HM choose Bekker, Stain and Spies? The man is obviously deranged and probably in the middle of a mid life crisis, as I don’t see Mnr Aplon there either – Oh well, he’s made our bed now and we must lie in it. Good luck to the Bokke, as that is what we are here for after all. I think, however that they will certainly need all the luck they can get – Just pray that HM banishes that farking worm thingy from his coaching repetoir!!! God’s speed boys

    In my humble, supporters opinion:
    Willem Alberts, right choice
    Andries Bekker, wrong choice
    Pat Cilliers, not convinced yet
    Marcell Coetzee, right choice
    Keegan Daniel, right choice
Jean de Villiers, I believe, choose the best player first. Is he the best 13? But there is just no-one else in the starting line up that puts their hands up
    Bismarck du Plessis, right choice
    Jannie du Plessis, right choice
    JJ Engelbrecht, right choice
    Eben Etzebeth, right choice
    Dean Greyling, not convinced
Bryan Habana, coming back to form
    Francois Hougaard, right choice
    Elton Jantjies, MTN right choice
    Zane Kirchner, dreadful choice
    Siya Kolisi, right choice
    Juandré Kruger, right choice
    Patrick Lambie, right choice
    Tendai Mtawarira, right choice
    Lwazi Mvovo, right choice
    Ruan Pienaar, right choice
    JP Pietersen, right choice
    Jacques Potgieter, right choice
    Chiliboy Ralepelle, not convinced
    Pierre Spies, WTF
    Frans Steyn, right choice
    Morné Steyn, WTF
    Adriaan Strauss, right choice
Flip van der Merwe, right choice
Jano Vermaak, perhaps, but Sarel deserves a chance imho

    20 @ Just For Kicks:
    So, to analize your choices….

Heyneke picked 20 out of 30 precisely right choices, PLUS 6 almost there’s (not concinced) – of which most supporters would probably have picked 4 of the 6… so that makes it 24 correct by Heyneke

    Outright no’s goes to:

    1. Langbek (which most supporters would have chosen)
    2. Zane Kirchner (he’s there only as a backup Fullback, Taute is injured, Joe Pietersen has had a few horrendous weeks here at the end… who else is there… Louis Ludik – toss up between Ludik and Kirchner, really – so what’s the fuss about)
    3. Pierre Spies (ja, he should not be there, but the current choices are a bit thin at No 8)
    4. Mornê Steyn (who else: Popgun Farking Peter Grant – who battles to kick the ball further than a 22m line and who has no BMT?, Butch No-brains James – WTFFFFF? Elton Jantjies – he IS in the group?, Goosen – injured?, Sies Ebersohn – hehehe?, Meyer Fokken Bosman – hahaha?, Lambie – oh he’s IN the group already too)

So, you differ from Heyneke Meyer’s choices by about 3 to 6 from 30 (let’s make it a round 5 for good measure), so you agree with about 84% of his choices…. whoop dee doo!

… and it’s not about Provincialism… it’s about who should be there IN PLACE of the WHAT THE FARK choices…

Turn it the other way, and give me 6 direct replacements (uninjured and available and not going overseas) for the 6 players you’re not happy with… and 80 % the nation would be going WHAT THE FLOKKEN FARK to your choices….

You guys need to learn to freegin think before shooting your mouth’s off at any given whim!

  • 23

    22: sa ! sa ! vat hulle ! sê hulle, sê hulle ! 😉

  • 24

    5 @ Spooony:
You overrate your own opinion… I did not respond to you… otherwise I might have pulled the shithouse chain or freegin reffered by number and name to your comment, like I’m doing with this comment.

    WP Nel – going overseas
Brussow – on the injured list
Sareltjie Pretorius – could not even make the Watratahs run-on side
Deon Fourie – Good in the loose and with ball in hand, but absolutely shocking throwing into the lineout, and can’t scrum to save his own life.. and he’s had what 2 games as an emergency measure at No 8….
Bresler – In place of whom? Flip?, Langbek?, Juandre Kruger? Etsebeth?

    My dear man, WTF!

  • 25

    @ bdb:

ek herhaal TEIN KEER HET JULLE VERLOOR EN NET 7 keer gewen 10! Ja ek se weer 10 keer. Of jy honderd nul of 5 nul wen n wen is n wen.

    @oomklapbloubul

  • 26

  • 27

@ grootblousmile:If I am wrong, I will eat my words, but just those 3 positions are just about the 3 most important positions on the field. With Lambie at F/H, Aplon at F/B and Kankowski at 8, the team is already much better. But, hey, as you say, what do I know. Time will tell.

And I really don’t get this “going overseas’ thing, It’s okay for some (a la Pienaar and FdP) but not for Kankowski of WP. Smacks of double standards to me, unless someone can explain it.

  • 28

    27 @ Just For Kicks:
Lambie, like he played today… hahaha

Aplon… Little Knockout Aplon… hehehe…. you know what I would have picked him in place of Krusty too… maybe!

Kanko… yip, he’s been good since returning AFTER injury.

WP Nel, seriously? You would consider him, seriously? Ai jai jai!

  • 29

@ grootblousmile:No I wouldn’t choose him, necessarily, trying to get the point across that everyone is using the overseas contracts as an excuse.

Lambie played badly today, agreed. But even at his worst, doesn’t have a scratch on Stains run.

  • 30

    29 @ Just For Kicks:
What you on about then… Lambie is IN the Bokke squad, not out of it…
… and you would not have played WP Nel… so why bring up his name?

I said that Kanko’s been good, also said that I do not want Spies there anymore either… so what’s your freegin point?

Is it just that you want Morné Steyn out at ALL costs? Whoop dee doo…. your opinion…
