The Golden Lions have announced their team to take on the Blue Bulls in their only Currie Cup warm up game on Friday 3rd august 2012.
Head coach Johan Ackerman announced a squad of 31 players, and although the run on 15 look very much like the Super Rugby team, spectators can expect a lot of changes and experimentation as the game progresses.

Lions still very light at Hooker.
Wonder when Maku will be fit again.
His injury can only have been as a result of a gym issue.
I suspect pushing the weights too hard.
As such it again points to poor leadership by the Lions who should be monitoring all gym sessions closely.
Ah well, no use moaning about the Lions issues. It’s like living in England and moaning about the rain. It’ll never change.
Eish! The Lions decidedly thin on backline reserves. Going to be a ardous CC for the Cubs
Eish, the Lions administrators continue to cover themselves in glory. Apparently Carlos Spencer and conditioning coach Wayne Taylor were sacked, and notified of this by e-mail. This despite being apparently assured a few weeks back, that their jobs were safe!
OMW! What good press, for the embattled union
3 @ Cheetah4eva:
Yes, it is indeed the case, have just received the GLRU Press Release about the issue.
Will place an Article up
Why sack Spencer?
Eish and in further bad nes at the Lions, I just saw that they have lost Paul Willemse to the Bulls. I was fancying a move south to the land with the hot chicks.
Bloem is the place for a strappling young lad lol
