GONE. Bell gone LBW Steyn for 12. Eng 14/1
England going Ok’ish…. 16 / 1 after 4.2 overs
We need 3 or 4 quickfire wickets if we are to stand a chance to win this one at all.
Very strange wicket indeed, In that last slower ball of Steyns over, the second bounce before the keeper (off the pitch), bounced higher than the first – which landed 2/3 down the pitch on a good length.
Tsotsobe is just not tight enough in his bowling.
England well within the run rate. Much too easy. Even stein, who started so well is now being pretty wayward.
35 @ Just For Kicks:
Why can’t we string good games together, one after another?
England only need to go at 4 per over, and so far after 7 overs they’ve already got 7 x 4’s, eish!
England 40 / 1 after 8 overs… batting at exactly 5 an over at the moment
36 @ grootblouBokJan:Yeah, for some reason, it’s just not in our psyche. If ever England were there for the plucking it was now. The KP affair just won’t go away, Strauss resigning, and the team losing match after match, they couldn’t get much lower. But, we let them in again. We can’t seem to go for the jugular. Maybe we’re just too nice!
Tighter bowling now, but we’ll only win if we bowl them out… and that looks highly unlikely
39 @ Just For Kicks:
In the rugby as well… we seem incapable to really put the nails in and demolish a side, when we have the upperhand. Put them to the sword, hammer them senseless.
41 @ grootblouBokJan:I’ve always felt it has to do with the ‘guilt trip’ we still carry around post apartheid, we take everything so personally.
Hello all just popped in quickly between putting up the Pro12 article for this weekend and going out with better half for the first time in ages. Haven’t been able to follow much of the cricket today, doesn’t look like it was a good score by SA against what must have been very good bowling, see Anderson got 4, man when he gets it right he can be a handful.
42 @ Just For Kicks:
Maybe…. or maybe we’re just a bunch of soft-cocks….
Enjoy your evening Bully
44 @ grootblouBokJan:I thought that just came with marriage! Most of these guys are far to young to be married!!!!
45 @ Just For Kicks:
Cheers JFK, we are looking forward to some time out, hopefully someone can trigger a big collapse in this one, will catch up some time cheers vir eers.
46 @ Just For Kicks:
Nee jinne… marriage or not, that can’t be said!
Anyway, I’m going to mosey on over to the rugby now….
Right I am going to watch some rugby for a bit. Will keep the score updated and any wickets that may go, but there isn’t a lot to write home about in this match
Edged! And Bopara is gone! They review and he’s out. Caught behind off Morkel. England lose another wicket! 64/3 (18 overs).
England on 102 / 3 after 25.1 overs
Trott still in… on 43 now… THAT’s the danger man
@ grootblouBokJan:
Bo-parra is uit, nou moet ons net vir Onner-parra (Trott)kry!
53 @ Piet-Springbok-Jan:
Ja, maar dis daai onderste-bo parra wat my pla…. hehehe
Kwas running away with this game now, unexpectedly….I thought the Lions would maul them tonight.
Sharp shoulder charge? Nonsense man!
Flippit!!! Manus Schoeman is goed oppie grond, hy is die doring in die Leeus se vlees…
Finally Morgan goes, but a little too late, I fear
England 172 / 4 after 38 overs
Need just 40 to win
Come on, 4 quick wickets… hehehe
… mmmm that might not even be enough….
