It is blowing up a storm in Kickers neck of the woods, internet connection lost… so till he’s back, I will start this one up!
Gooooooooo Blomme!
Blomme started slowly… 2 / 0 after the first over, then 6 / 0 after the 2nd over.
Hi Gbs, Finn kicking for poles…. again.
3 @ fender:
Hehehe
Yes!
Is Smith out yet?
Two great shots by Hashish Amla.
Hits the ball so late…..
5 @ Loosehead:
Flok, jy’s nie lekker nie!
Hahaha
SA 30 / 0 after 5 overs…going at a nice clip of 6 an over, so far.
6 @ fender:
He’ got exceptional timing on the ball and uses his wrists so well
Hehe!!
No man, Loosehead – jy praat oppie man se hand.
Sjoe, Hash is doing well, but this pitch looks a belter.
Smith loses his (loose) head and his wicket…:-(
Jeeez, you turn your back on these guys for 25 minutes and they go fark it up!
SA now 78 / 2 after 17 overs….
Both Biff and Amla both out
Howzit everyone.
So damn busy today totally forgot about the crici.
SA 155 – 6 after 32.5 overs. Think we will lose this one.
Towers blown down, Electrical lines all over the place, This storm is worse than hurricane Isaac – or so it seems. Never seen anything like it. Internet guys said they had no idea how long (read days) it would take to replace tower. BUt it’s suddenly come on again, so they must have done something exceptional! Good on them. Howzit all – not that impressed with our batting display so far, apart from Amla and Elgar, we’ve given every wicket away!
Slightly more balanced bowling attack for the Proteas this match, I thought, bringing back Steyn. They really are going to have to work hard if we are to win this one back, I fear. Some of those shots, including Captain Biff, were just dumb. Having said that, I think Dernbach has bowled excellently.
Pitch certainly seems to be favouring the bowlers a bit, the ball nipping and sticking every now and then. Some nice movement from some of the bowlers too
Peterson, only has swinging in mind. Thats two his swung at and missed
Another wicket given away, Duminy Caught Bell Bowled Tredwell for 33. SA 195/7
I hope we make 200!
Scoring runs here is slower than a test match with rain interruptions! SA 198/7
Great wicket by Anderson. Steyn bowled for 1. SA 203/8
And Anderson does it again. Morkel Bowled for 7. SA 211/9
And the last one goes, SA all out for 211. Tsotsobe reviews, but is plum to me
Given. Poor batting by SA, perhaps the pitch was more up and down than we thought. Lets hope the Protea’s can exploit it, because it really isn’t a big total to chase. As long as they keep their cool, the Poms should reign in that score with ease. No heroics needed
7 wickets were clean bowled – thats not seen to often nowadays. Just excellent wicket to wicket bowling, and let the opposition get themselves out. And that is exactly what the Poms have done today.
Eishhhh 211 All out….
Now if that is not giving Engaland a golden window of opportunity then I don’t know what will!
Measly total, to say the least!
@ grootblouBokJan:Yup, not a lot to say about this match, I am afraid. The bit I saw of the SA innings was pretty dreary to say the least. A very average effort I think, and seeing that opening boundary from Bell, shows that it is a pretty easy pitch to get used to
Tsotsobe goes for 3 x 4 in his opening over. Really puts the pitch in perspective
