Clouds there are shifting too. So the batting will become even easier.

  • 542

120/4. Lunch. Not looking good for SA at the moment, as soon as Bairstow started playing some shots, SA started pushing too hard, and the tight lines that they were bowling so well went to pot. Allowing England to score 80 odd runs off 20 overs. Proteas must tighten up. LINE and LENGTH, boys, it’s that simple

  • 543

63 Overs remaining, 226 runs required.

3.3 runs per over, not looking as good as it was earlier.

  • 544

Phweeeew… should never have gone shopping, England really laid into our bowlers in my absense… and just went to buy a couple of eats and siggies… and freegin ended up spending a thousand bucks on all sorts of eats and delights for the office (me)…. grrrrr

  • 545

BarSTOOL really put us to the sword!

We let him settle on that STOOL… and paid for his drinks…

Rudolph’s drop of Trott has cost us big time!

    We need 2 wickets… soon!

  • 546

Hello all, looks like this one has taken a bit of an unexpected turn

  • 547

The only bowler to have taken wickets this innings not bowling first over after lunch???

  • 548

Oeps spoke too soon see that Philander is bowling now, and already conceded 4 in 4 balls, going to have to try dry up the runs somehow.

  • 549

We need to break this partnership.. desperately, they are going at 1-Day pace, with ease!

    Wicketttttttttttt!

    Tahir strikes!

  • 550

Oh dear 9 runs off that first over from Philander after lunch. Ronnie Irani is one of my favourite radio presenters on the sports radio but thought he was not being cool on Friday breakfast when he said conditions on Monday morning would be great for England to knock off the winning runs. At 45/4 certainly couldn’t have looked that way… maybe he knew a thing we don’t.

  • 551

BarSTOOL broken… took his legs out… hehehe

  • 552

    phew
    wicket!!!
    tahir!! tahir!!

  • 553

Tahir…….. YESSSSSS gets wicket. Nice break through now after lunch. Just had a feeling Tahir might pick up a wicket. Jeez so damn pleased he broke up that partnership it was growing…hehehe.

    Go Proteas.

Howzit Gbs great stuff!!! Was too busy typing to notice that happened, well done Tahir!

  • 555

    551 @ grootblouBokJan:

    Thats funny…… hahaha. 😆

  • 556

Wrapping up an innings bowling on the last day of a test is what a good spinners job is in test cricket, lets hope Tahir obliges.

  • 557

Now we need Trott out… freegin 60 already for him

  • 558

    554 @ BullscotBokJan:
    Hello BullyJannie,

Good stuff indeed… this Test is quite a nice contest!

  • 559

Would be great if we could get Trott now. Damn wish we got him earlier. Rudolph could have. Big miss that one.

Jeez now the saffas are doing it for England again. Trott and Prior both saffas. I think we get Trott that will be the fire put out for them. Well hoping. Though Bairstow was a big wicket he was picking up plenty runs.

  • 560

Had some Chicken, a Prawn Portugese pie and some Indian Onion Bhajias for lunch….

  • 561

Run-rate already dropping again after BarSTOOL went… but a 6th wicket will go down well, then we start getting into their tail… and that’s what we want

  • 562

    558 @ grootblouBokJan:
Yeah looks like its quite exciting nou hoe moet ek nou weer gaan slaap. Was quite happy with the timing of the start of England’s innings yesterday as had said on Sat night that would have liked the bowlers to have an hour before close of play to bowl at England, and they did that so well, only thing I was disapointed with was that I had hoped we would have had about 30 more runs on the board then to make sure the test was safe. But maybe it was a good thing we were those 30 runs short because that may have been a target that England would have thought was just too far and they would not have gone for it like this morning and given us chances to take wickets.

  • 563

Question is will Trott be there till the end and deny a win a la Atherton all those years ago.

  • 564

    560 @ grootblouBokJan:
Gosh that sounds like a recipe for indigestion man, what is a prawn portuguese pie is it prawns in a pastry like a cornish pasty? I guess the Bhajiis were there just so could say you had some vegetables with your lunch Happy-Grin

  • 565

    563 @ BullscotBokJan:
    We need to get Trott…

Jeeez, almost a LBW for Philander… they ask for the review… no they don’t

  • 566

Don’t know if you guys have been following but SA U19 beat England U19 in their quarter final match at the U19 Cricket World Cup in Australia.

  • 567

    565 @ grootblouBokJan:
How close did it look Gbs?

  • 568

    564 @ BullscotBokJan:
Yes, the Bhajias were fr a bit of veggies… hehehe

Portugese pies are marvelous… it does not have a traditional pastry around it, more like a crumbed skin crust… lekker stuff!

Ask Pietman about the Portugese Pies in the one “deurloop” (think it was the President’s Arcade between Schoeman & Pretorius Streets) in the centre of Pretoria Town… ons het daai goed moeg ge-eet… en dit was lekker goedkoop op ‘n Article Clerk se salarissie!

  • 569

    567 @ BullscotBokJan:
Would have gone well over the wickets… was good NOT to review
