268 @ grootblouBokJan:
Meant to say 2 and a half days…..
Really is a batsman’s paradise now
If we get them out we need to bat smart. They picking up some easy 4’s now.
And England take the lead. 310/9
@ PumaSpringbokJan:It is such a flat deck now, I really can’t see a result
If England wanted to win this, they needed to keep wickets in hand, and build a big 1st innings lead. They have to rely on these 2 for that, and their scoring rate is so slow, if they do go on, by the end of the day, they won’t be that far ahead
275 @ BokJan For Kicks:
Knowing us we will go out quick. Just when we think we can do it we let it slip. Wish we had bowled them out when we had about 60 or so lead. Now it is catch up even if we come in with them having a small lead. Still two and a half days to go. We had better bat smart. Otherwise it is anyones game this.
Why we always battle to get the tail-enders out is a mystery. Has been like that for us for as long as I can remember.
ST Finn c Duminy b Morkel 10 (34b 1×4 0x6)Eng 315 all out
At last England all out for 315. Smith and Pieterson in the middle
280 @ BokJan For Kicks:
Missed us taking that wicket.
So they lead by 6. Come on Boys bat and bat and bat. Jeez hope we don’t lose any wickets today. That will set us up for tomorrow. Keeping fingers crossed. 🙂
SA now lead by 11, after 7.1 overs… no wickets lost yet
The poms so desperate, they are appealing for anything, a la Indians
After only 9 overs, England are bringing on Swann. Desperation creeping in? Or has the pitch broken up that appreciably? – Somehow I am not so sure it is the second one!
Flok, runs not coming easily here
How we handle Swann in this second knock will largely determine the outcome of this Test. We played his first over well.
Again, wild appealing at nothing. Spoils the game a bit, in my book
Finn bowls badly enough to take a wicket here…
Swann will certainly get the bulk of the bowling, thats for sure, but I don’t think this is a great pitch for him – yet
SA struggling along at just over 2 per over. 33/0 Tea.
I am crossing over to the rugby, will catch up later, but forgive me if I don’t update the score for a while!
