118 @ Just For Kicks:
Oh dear is Peterson coming in yet?
117 @ Bullscot:Yup, agree, umpiring has been woeful. I have heard it mentioned as much by the commentators. By the way, if you are looking for some good commentary, try testmatchsofa.com. They have a great radio commentary
Yes Peterson there would have thought he could have waited a bit longer is it worth risking aggravating his injury and maybe miss out on the 3rd test especially as he can’t have a runner or has the injury responded better than expected to treatment?
I gather that Pietersons (Alviro) hammy isn’t that bed, so hopefully he should be ok batting now
122 @ Just For Kicks:
Thanks man will try that one maybe for next time, not too long and must get moving here. Need to get my digital radio sorted too because on BBC 5 LIVE sports they normally have the test cricket commentary but obviously now with the Olympics doubt its on.
England would have to go at a tad over 4 per over to win if they bat now
Getting back to Duminy, he has been very disapointing for a while now, I recall when he first started out so well in test cricket thinking he was going to be the next best thing in world batting but he just seems to be in a slump in test cricket, you couldn’t change that winning team from the first test but did wonder if Faf du Plessis should have been given a chance in this one after Duminy didn’t really shine in the county game so maybe Faf in for final test, think his time is now he seems a good middle order batsmen and can also offer something, if not maybe even more, with his bowling.
125 @ Bullscot:You’ve got a smartphone, download ‘tunein radio’ from the app store. You’ll get every conceivable station you can think of. I always listen to 5 Live, as well as BBC 2 and 4. testmatchsofa is on that too
@ Bullscot:Yeah, remember Duminy’s form in Aus a few years back.Faf is a great player, and have always rated him
Kallis gone too off a short one for 27. Caught Prior off Sally again. He is having a great spell
Oh dear Kallis out!
Game on
As ons 250 kry, behoort die Engelse nie dit te kry in 40 beurte teen die beste boulaanval in die wêreld nie.
Maar ja, dit is die Proteas so dit is nie onmoontlik nie.
They should get the bulk of, if not all, the remaining overs due for today but taking away the time it would take for possible innings change over that still gives England less than 45 overs at this stage to get 225 runs, think its safe now as doubt they would go after it until they have batted for at least 15 over and not lost any wickets, so if they lose wickets then they would shut up shop and go for the draw.
Ons is 1-0 voor, ek sê ons moet 6 beurte teen 10 lopies kolf, en dan die engelse instuur vir 40 beurte, maak dit spannend ! 😉
After the battering they took at the Oval this performance will certainly give England bowlers more confidence so sets up the last test quite nicely, wonder if Swann will be back for Bresnan there
113 @ bdb:It would be awesome to watch them have a go though, wouldn’t it? I reckon Smith should declare now ( I know he won’t, but it would be a wonderful spectacle). But a draw is more important for SA right now
128 @ Just For Kicks:
Will have to try that sometime cheers JFK, must go cheers for now all
136 @ Bullscot:Although Swann didn’t take many wickets last match, I doubt he’ll ever be left out again. I think the selectors and the two Andy’d would be lynched – literally!!
@ Bullscot:Cheers
137: sal ‘n ander dimensie geen aan ‘toets krieket’, maar ja, die t20’s begin eers na die toetsreeks.
Steyn gone now too, but a little, too late, I fear. Steyn Caught and bowled Anderson for 3. Anderson finally gets a wicket
SA declares on 258 / 9
Can’t see the cricket now (wife watching damn olympic show jumping), but at just over 6 an over, bring it on!
I can now share with you all that GB now have another gold in the games from the Show jumping. (I pretend to be hysterically happy at this juncture – will guarantee brownie points with the ball and chain for later). But having said that, I how long do you think I should wait before it is okay to ask the b&c if I can change back to the cricket?
England definitely going for it, they’ve opened with KP
KP gets 12 in his first over
Phweeew, KP Pietersen has come out with some serious intent!
Bloody Smith trying Cronje’s skelme tricks. We are going to lose this one. Smith you idiot!
Ai Morkel, as jy daardie lyn en lengte wil boul, dan verdien jy om hard geslaan te word.
