Only 4 overs to go, we only got 4 from this last over
Patel 0/47 off his 10 overs, he’s done well to stem the run rate, just as the Proteas were looking to open up
WE need another 40 or more. Hope we can get it.
120 @ PumaSpringbokJan:
Time will tell…. and if he’s not up to the stress then so be it… then he must go early.
But maybe he hits a sweet spot here or there… has enough rest after the end of year till next June and is refreshed again.
He’s very strong mentally, that I can tell you
SA 262 / 4 with 3 overs to go.
Best we can hope for is 285 to 295….
Can Amla reach his 150?
270 / 4 with just 2 overs to go
Looking at the stats, this looks a pretty par score on this wicket.
128 @ Just For Kicks:
We’d have to bowl well… whichever way you look at it
100 @ grootblouBokJan:
I know Pumas play a spoiling game, but we should still be able to have played around that better. And agree we will have to change this style of play we are playing for Boks. We will go so backward if we don’t change. Meyer must know this though. I feel too his has the wrong forward and backline coach with him. Jeez if I was Meyer I would be going after Carlos Spencer and bring him in. Or get some help from Plum. Sharks got it right boeta, and he has plenty Sharks in his team to play more creative rugby. We really need a new flyhalf though if we want to play like that and also I am afraid a different scrumhalf and fb. Think too JdV is not the best at outside centre either. Players are hogging the ball too much and kicking far, far too much. Anyhow we may be in for a surprise come the Perth game. We did play good rugby in the 2nd half of the England test and why not again?
We miss Bissie. The breakdowns without him there has been woeful. From what I have read Brussow too will not be ready for the away tour. Pity as he would have been the player to bring in now.
Come on boys get another 15 and we are okay I think.
Amla on 144
SA 280 / 4 with 1 over to go
Amla on 146, not on strike now
Amla gets his 150
Heeeee haaaaaaaaaaaaa
Yeeeeehaaaaaa, Amla gets his 150. Brilliant
Amla perishes on 150….
Well done Amla!
And Amla goes for 150, caught Bresnan, bowled Finn
Amla goes after getting his 150. What a magnificent a batsman. Must be the best in the world right now. Extremely proud of him.
287/5 off fifty overs. England require 288 at 5.76 per over
139 @ Just For Kicks:
Think we have enough. Well hope so. Was hoping for 300 so not far off then.
Go Boys. Let us win the odi series too.
Catch up after the break
Okay catch up later. We going out for dinner.
140 @ PumaSpringbokJan:I think we should have enough runs, it is not the easiest batting pitch – the ball seemed to dig into the pitch, and slowed a lot, making it difficult to hit away. Proteas are going to have to maintain a top with line and length – but with Parnell and McLaren, that could be a challenge!
The announcement of the Springbok squad for the Australasian leg of The Castle Rugby Championship has been postponed until Wednesday.
144 @ Just For Kicks:I wonder why? Injury concerns?
Amla is scary good, what a player
Awesome start as Tsotsobe clean bowls Cook for 0 – 2nd ball of the innings
McLaren really needs to make the step up now, he’s had enough chances. I hope a see a major improvement. He is one that had such potential a few years ago, but never seems to have quite taken the step up
….and bowling on Trotts legs isn’t going to help his cause

Mindy Pawsey @MKPS001
@SimplySean_ He’s apparently *allegedly* walked out on the Wallabies tonight. Allegedly.
