    @ PumaSpringbokJan:

😆 pooms theres different criteria for different players

    57 @ MaakieSharksAlmalBokkeseJan:
Morné is kak… that’s why I want him replaced too.

Jantjies on the other hand has silenced me, he’s been playing well, and that’s all you can go on.

Same applies to Goosen, you’ll see my first comment of the Goosen Article… I say he needs to regain form first, before being considered.

I also said Jacques Potgieter is not up to par, calling for his replacement.

    … so that is even-handed, is’nt it….

I’d still play Lambie in place of Kirchner though…. but not at flyhalf

I find it incredible how Amla has become this batting phenomenon. Remember when he first came onto the scene, he was good, but very ordinary, and we all thought he would remain so. He just keeps getting better, and I think could turn out to be one of the best batsmen ever.

    56 @ grootblouBokJan:
He had only played 40min of rugby before that final. He had been off for about 6 weeks. So you and everyone can’t rate him there. Rate him once he has played a few games again. He is a class player and been treated bad by Meyer by not even giving him 10min or 15min a game to see what he has. Especially when Morne was super kak on Saturday.

Ag no sounds like a real gemors, and it goes back a loooong time, just shows you have to keep on top of these things otherwise before you know it too much time has past to do anything worthwhile about it. Thats a good quote you put there from CJ Langenhoven.

    63 @ Just For Kicks:
I know he has become one of our absolute best. Then he is from Durbs…….. Happy-Grin

  • 67

Great to see Elgar’s got his chance but didn’t think he was a quick scoring one day batsmen, although saw somewhere he had a very good domestic season in SA.

Hi JFK yes Amla is certainly doing well, just keeps on piling on the runs, was interesting to hear the radio commentators this afternoon describe his batting as ‘artistry’, I can recall seeing him when he first came on to the scence and he looked like he had quite an awkward batting style, but no doubt he is top quality.

  • 70

Rule of thumb says you can normally double the score the team has after 30 overs to get the final score, SA had 141 after 30 overs, lets see how well that rule works…

    @ Just For Kicks:
So when is the big move to Scotland? You gonna arrive in the Winter months there? What about your wine farm here? You selling up or what?

  • 72

    @ MaakieSharksAlmalBokkeseJan:
    Haai Sharkie 🙂

  • 73

    70 @ JanMurrayBok:

Well we will definitely need around 280 or more. Run rate has picked up since then need to keep it up though.

  • 74

    Elgar out… eishhh

    165 / 3 after 33.5 overs

  • 75

Elgar goes, bowled Swann for 15 – a slower ball.

  • 76

    @ grootblouBokJan:

I saw Rudi and was not hinting at you, im am talking about the general kinds cencus on the blogs.

Look for me lambie is a 10, although he is a fine 15 too, problem is though he will be playing 10 for the Sharks, Plumtree has said as much and said he does not want him being messed around.

Now with the Boks he is going nowhere it seems, and because of this people judge him and yet he is not even playing???

I would rather he plays for the Sharks , plays himself into or outa form, because right now he must be very confused, Yet this kid has always been very confident and strong minded in his play.

I say this because remember Kanko was judged in the same way, sat on the bench for 95% of his Bok career, gets put at 7 and people say he was useless even though in that specific match he was one of the very few that could walk with his head held high as we lost that match,

There was a time and dont get me wrong it is not Spies’s fault a player does not select himself, but for about 2 years Kanko was in better form than Spies, yet he never got a real chance, he out played Spies this year and never really got a chance beside HM said he would select him, ut saying he would select him and actually droppping Spies is another thing

I not saying this to complain about Spies Or morne for that fact, I just think LAmbie will be turned into another Kanko by HM before he has his favourites as i guess most coaches do

  • 77

elgar ws not looking that good anyhows

Again it seems Amla is the backbone of our innings, we must also realise this pitch aint as batting friendly as the Pommie commentators are saying, its spinning a lot and not really comming onto the bat

It has a bit of a tennis ball bounce

  • 78

    73 @ PumaSpringbokJan:
Hi Puma, think we may just end a little short of that, but at least AB’s in now, hopefully he can stay there with Amla for much of the rest of the innings and also score as quickly as we know he can, not much time to play himself in though.

  • 79

71 @ PumaSpringbokJan:Yup, going straight into winter there – luckily, we’ve had plenty of practice down here this winter!!! We are going in december, at the end of term. My daughter starts high school next year, so, although we will miss the first term, we want her in asap. We’re not 100% sure about the farm, my partner will take over for now, and will decide later. I will come back during harvest to make wine though.

  • 80

    76 @ MaakieSharksAlmalBokkeseJan:
It’s difficult, one needs Lambie close… but he’s been injured and not on form… so how do you reward that? With a pivotal start at flyhalf for the Bokke? I don’t think so!

I’d also rather him getting game time so we can measure him as he gets back into form…. but one thing IS FOR CERTAIN, and that is that Elton Jantjies IS ON FORM here and now… so I say use him to see if he makes it (whilst you have lambie on at fullback and Morné on the bench… to cover if he does not perform)

That way Lambie is eased back in at fullback, Jantjies is rewarded for his form and Morné is relegated for his lack of consistent form.

  • 81

@ JanMurrayBok:Hi Bully, Just been looking at the stats on the Rose bowl. Highest score there for a ODI is 290, so I guess we’re on track at the moment

  • 82

    76 @ MaakieSharksAlmalBokkeseJan:
Now most can see what Kanko can do and it is a damn shame that he was overlooked like that for a player that was not playing as well as he was. Now I am with you, would rather Lambie stay and play for the Sharks than sit on the Bok Bench and made to feel useless. THAT will dent his confidence, especially as he can see at fh and fb he could be playing better, but is not rated by the Bok Coach to even play for 10min. Rather he comes home to the tank, here we need him, if they don’t we know we certainly do and we appreciate the class player we have in him.

Another thing that studpid kicking game the Boks play, will ruin Lambie, Jantjies and Goosen. ALL 3 are creative fhs. Fransie too will play and look a lot better playing at Sharks next year than the way the Boks are using him to play. Look we could all be surprised in the Perth game and the Boks play a different game. They should us in the 1st half of the England test that THEY can play darn good rugby and again in the 1st half of the 2nd test. They just never done it again. When Ruan and Lambie came on in the 2nd half of the 1st test the whole game just changed. Was great to see. So why now we play this dumb dumb game against Arg?

  • 83

    78 @ JanMurrayBok:
    Agree.

Now I am confused as Piet gets here with all the Jans…hahaha. Who are you? 4man?

  • 84

    47 @ Just For Kicks:
Hey JFk, sorry hope you don’t mind me commenting too, just had a look and seen you are really going to opposite side of country, checked Glenluce is about two hours drive away from Glasgow, and I would guess thats if the traffic is flowing ok. Closest have got to that was maybe this summer holiday down in south Ayrshire just beyond the Electric Brae, around Girvan, the countryside down there looks lovely and green

  • 85

    81 @ Just For Kicks:
Ok thanks man had been wondering what would be a good score for an international game there

  • 86

    79 @ Just For Kicks:
Sounds great. Sometimes it is best just to slot in when it is winter…haha. I truly enjoy Scotland. My home from home. Enjoy the people and the country. Just their weather can be harsh, still enjoy the place though. Friendly people too.

  • 87

    83 @ PumaSpringbokJan:
Surely you can’t be confused man Thinking just think a little, there is a good, an not osbscure, reason for the nick 🙂

  • 88

84 @ JanMurrayBok:Yeah, it’s not too far from Girvan, and, yes, we couldn’t be much further from you, but we will had to meet up for a rugby match in Glasgow or something – saw your soccer pics on fb!

  • 89

I think Amla and AB are the 2 ideal players to push the run-rate up now…. AB already going way over run a ball

  • 90

Amla on 91… 9 needed for his ton.

Oh, you may shout for him too… he’s also from Shark country… hehehe
