And the Staat go ahead 9 to 3.
Guppies don’t seem like they want to qualify and face the Saders in the play off. They’ve decided they want to rest and would rather play their last game of the season today….
Sharks lineout has gone to pot.
Beautiful high catch by Bambie and the Guppies get a penalty.
31 @ The_Young_Turk:building for the CC?
Bambie not looking very comfortable after that knock. Steyn is back so maybe they will take Bambie off and move Steyn to 15.
@ Loosehead:
Yip, maybe they are more interested in contesting the CC against the Lions.
Gooooo guppies
6-9 after a penalty to the Sharks.
Score is 6 – 9 to the Staat. Guppies are actually 8 points behind qualifying…
36 @ The_Young_Turk:it is their level.
Penalty to the Cheetahs.
Smit slots it. 12-6.
Alberts on
Staat get another penalty. Crappy match and poor rugby so far. Same shyte that the Stompies dished up. The only teams they played quality rugby in this final round has been in the Chiefs vs Canes match.
How was that no a knock on by Coetzee?
Sharks butcher a certain try on the Staat line.
Bismark on.
Alberts has made a noticeable difference since he’s come on. Bissy now on as well.
Brussouw is also playing better lately. Boks will have to include Alberts and Brussouw.
Brussouw is just such an excellent player. Why does HM not rate him?
Penalty States.
And it is over.
Lemoen tyd 15-6
Brussouw causing immense problems for Guppies and spoiling their possession. Staat have another penalty to posts to go 15 – 6 ahead. That means that the Sharks are 14 points behind qualifying.
@ Loosehead:
Simple, because he doesn’t play in pink 😉
Sharks hopes of qualifying are fading fast. They have never at any stage of this first half looked like winning this one. Unless there is a dramatic turnaround at halftime, it’s tickets for them.
51 @ The_Young_Turk:
Bwhahah – can you take k/o time off pls Loosehead
Went out for the first half, now I come back to this, the Sharks also choking or Cheetahs just playing so much better today, or what?
It really doesn’t seem as if the Sharks want to fly to Christchurch tomorrow.
@ Pietman:
Staat not playing anything wonderful, Guppies just not playing with any enthusiasm and committment. It’s like they have no interest in qualifying. There is no urgency in their play. At least in the previous Stormers game, the Stompies ran up a lead and then stopped playing. The Sharks have gone one better and have decided to not start playing from the beginning…
@Pietman.
Cheetahs really bringing it. Especially at the breakdown I would say.
Sharks full of attacking, running, thrwowing the ball around, but unable to seal the deal.
Conditions not helping really…
Brussouw crocked by the dirty Sharks.
Ashley J on.
Bambie off for the Sharks and Brussow off for the Staat.
President Johnson on the field for the Staat.
