So, I have changed my mind. I have the feeling that The Stormers are going to win today.

  • 2

I wish for the Stormers to win … and they should … but if the Sharks win, they would’ve climbed a helluva mountain and have all my RESPEK … actually … they already have it after their Brisbane performance … 🙂

  • 3

    Go Sharkies.

  • 4

Come on Sharks, I know you can do it.

Good to see you here bud. Quite site this but when the live games are on it is the very best to blog on.

Tell you what if we win today I think we can go all the way, tired or not from the travel. Boys will really be so motivated.

    Go Sharks.

Have mixed feelings about this game. On the one hand I support the Stormpoppies and want them to finally win the cup but on the other hand their performance lately has been so uninspiring and downright shyte that I have little faith in them being able to pull it off for the next two matches. They have scraped wins against sides that they should have beaten comfortably but then again they have beaten sides that they should have lost to, so I am just totally confused over their true potential.
The Sharks on the other hand, have really kicked ass lately, and are playing some of the best and complete rugby in the competition, the type of rugby that I would love to see the Boks play. However they have also been very inconsistent…

So I hope that the Sharks continue to produce the great form they have displayed recently and that the Stormers step up and show that they can be better. If the Stompies cannot beat an in form Sharks team, they don’t deserve to play in the final and the Sharks will have my full support to go and kick the Chiefs’ butt in NZ!

What I am saying is that I want the Stormers to win by playing well, not because the Sharks lose because of inconsistency or because of the effects of travelling. In other words, ” May the farking best Saffer team win, and may that team be the Stormpoppies”!

@ Puma: Thanks mate. I do reckon whoever wins today will go all the way, I just hope it’s the boys in black and white.

    7 @ goyougoodthing:
I hope it is our team too. They have been playing some awesome rugby to get to this semi. They deserve it as much as Stormers to be honest. Sure we never made a home semi but we sure as heck played out our socks to make it this far.

    6 @ The_Young_Turk:
I have a feeling Stormers will come out like a cracker today and try and get some early tries. Hard to see it that way as they have mostly relied on their defence to win games. However they know we are tired from the travel and will want to run at us and keep up the tempo for the first half and tire us out. Well that is the way I think they will try and play. Sharks defence will have to be as good as it was in the 2nd half of last weeks game.

Saying that, if Sharks get ahead like they done against the Reds think Stormers may struggle.

Both teams should be fired up for this game. Only this game and one of them are into the final. Hope it is my Sharks with their exciting rugby of the past few games. See the weather forecast for Hamilton next week is all clear too.

@ The_Young_Turk:HI Turky and the boys, agree with you 100%, I have been saying for a while now that the Sharks are hitting their straps at just the right time. The have looked (next to the Crusaders) the team to beat. I think alot has to do with Michalaks upturn in form. I know Puma hates us saying it, and I agree with his thoughts, but for me, the thing that is going to hamper the Sharks is all the travel. Ever since the inception of the competition, SA sides have complained about the travel aspect. We know it is an issue. But to have to do the whole return trip twice in two weeks, I say, if they come through, they truly deserve to be champions. However, Puma, don’t for one minute think that I want the Stormers to win because of this, or think that we should allow the Stormers to win as they have a better chance. I don’t. The best team must win and thats it. I am a Stormers supporter through and through, but when I look at the 4 side in the semi’s, the Stormers just look like the side that are going to struggle the most.

But I still support my Stormers to the hilt, Goooo Boys!!!!

Just for an update on the U19 game, I will keep updating both this and the U21 match – on BDB’s request, WP 20-16 Bulls, final whistle has gone, but a scrum to the Bulls on their 10m line was awarded before the whistle, and thus will play the scrum

6 @ The_Young_Turk:You’ve got a lot to say for yourself today! Fingers crossed for a scintillating game of rugby, and although I hope the Stormers win, I would scream for the Sharks in the finals!

Just spoken to GBS, he won’t be joining us for the early part of the match, says he is going to hang around in the tree’s around Hazyview and catch up with the rest of his family that live in the forest. Gave some excuse that it was a tree top tour – only a monkey would say that.

He did also say that the Sharks are hopeless, useless, generally overweight, and shouldn’t be in the S15 comp. He said if it was up to him, he would relegate the Sharks, and keep the Lions in the comp – he feels they offer so much more than just pretty faces and expensive surf boards. He feels the Stormers are without doubt the best team in the Southern Hemispere, and he will be switching allegiance with immediate effect. His last words were, and I quote – GOOOOO STORMERS!!!!

    @ Just For Kicks:
Sounds to me like a pretty accurate reflection of Smiles’ opinions. Wink

  • 30

    @ Just For Kicks:
In Fact I think the only things you left out were that Smiles also feels that Stain and Spoes should never wear a Bok or even Bulls jersey ever again and that AC would have made a much better Springbok coach than HM!
