  • 212

    gbs @ 205
    huh-uh

    pums @ 210
yep, we had enough chances in this session to really pile on the pressure
    but
that said, theres enough time left in this match even if they should bat off the deficit!!

  • 213

Their goal is to survive. They are not worried about batting of the deficit. A guy get 1 from 200 balls not out will be hailed the same as Amla’s 300

  • 214

    spooony @ 213
    agree with you on that!
that said though, even at the pace that they are batting at the moment, can they go past our score by tea (if they dont lose too many wickets, that is).

  • 215

    Is Graeme Smith out yet??

  • 216

    loosehead @ 215
    hahahaha, funny
    but
yes, there was a time in his career when one wondered why he bothered to come out to bat, lol

  • 217

ok, the players are back out!! come-on boytjies!!

  • 218

seems like duminy will bowl the first over. thats a bit of a surprise!!

Running in from in front of the members, it will be one of the four horsemen of the Apocalypse, Dale Steyn … 😀

Hello all, looks like England are stubbornly resisting here and its maybe going to take a bit of luck to get a win for the Proteas. Bell and Prior are both class batsmen and on a pitch that England only took 2 wickets on and good weather think it will be hard to get the win. I really rate Prior and feel that he is that good a batsmen that he could make the team even if he wasn’t the ‘keeper. Will need to get one of them out soon but even then there are quite a few reasonable batsmen to follow, still who knows cricket can be a funny game…

    204 @ grootblousmile:
Thats a pity the catch was dropped Gbs, who was dropped and how many runs has it cost SA so far? Its little things like that that can swing games

  • 222

So busy, busy today, but back just in time to see another wicket go down. 6 down now.

We may just do it. Another quick wicket is what we need now.

  • 223

Phew! almost another one. Drops just short.

    Eng 208-6

  • 224

Hope we take Bell with the new ball. We get Bell think it could be all over for England.

  • 225

Howzit all, nice sporting week for us Saffas.
I might just as well watch the crici with you okes during the day, since I started working like a mouse over the Ramadan weekend (office hours 10 pm – 2 am)…….
So, call me PietMuis for the next month or so Distort

  • 227

    222 @ Puma:

  • 228

  • 229

    226 @ Just For Kicks:
Wow fantastic news JFK, just can’t seem to keep up here with the wickets falling, Bell was a BIG wicket to get, GO PROTEAS!

  • 230

@ ashley: Give that man a Bell!!!!

    Gee hulle gas Steyna!!!!!!

  • 231

So England will need to survive 45 overs to salvage the draw, gosh this game has turned around very quickly

  • 232

And Bell gone with the new ball as I was hoping… 🙂 🙂 We could win this now… Happy-Grin

  • 233

@ Bullscot:Yes it is good news. Bell for me is such a classy player, and now, hopefully, we have more chance to wrap up the tail, and knock off any runs if required

  • 234

    225 @ Pietman:
Hello Pietmuis Happy-Grin joining the night workers gang I see, at least its only a short shift, unlike the 12 hours this side, in fact should be trying to fight the insomnia and getting some rest now before another one tonight but now the cricket has livened up not going to be easy to do that!

  • 235

    224 @ Puma:
You got your wish there quite soon Puma!

  • 236

    225 @ Pietman:
hehe.. Piet that is mouse hours bru….hahaha.

Yip what a great, great sporting weekend this was. Sharks smash the Reds, Alma gets 300 and Ernie wins the Open. Awesome.

  • 237

England bat all the way down, so the Protea’s need to keep whittling away, don’t think the job is done now the tail are in – it will wag, thats for sure. Patience required. Line and length with the new ball and then bring on Tahir

  • 238

    227 @ Bullscot:
Howzit bud. Yip it is all happening right now. Hope we clean them up quick now. Sometimes we struggle to finish off the tail-enders.

  • 239

I know its crazy to be questioning the team in such a dominant position and as they have the new ball the quicks are on, but surely it should be Tahir bowling from one end in tandem with Steyn, don’t want these two to get settled, neither of them are mugs with the bat, Broad’s test average is almost 28 and Bresnan’s 40.

  • 240

Broad gone, caught behind off a slight nudge off the glove. 2 more please
