55 @ Bullscot:
Howzit bud,
Yeah great sporting weekend this. Plenty to watch. Can’t wait for the rugby tomorrow morning.
Love the golf and the Open is for me the ulitmate. So always enjoy it. Watch it from start to finish, only the cricket is on and turning over the whole time.
61 @ Puma:
Sounds like you are goin to spend a lot of time watching the tele this weekend enjoy mate, wont get to see the rugby this side a pity. Hope we have a good in the cricket tomorrow conditions should become less difficult for batting. Must dash now cheers for now
OK, the 2 Live Game Articles for the 2 Super Rugby Play-off games tomorrow morning, has been scheduled!
Crusaders vs Bulls – 09:35 SA Time, AMI Stadium, Christchurch
Reds vs The Sharks – 11:40 SA Time, Suncorp Stadium, Brisbane
62 @ Bullscot:
Hope the weather clears for the cricket tomorrow. Still will be tough.
Hope both Bulls and Sharks win their games too……… 🙂 Pity you not getting any of the games there. That would never do me…lol.
Okay out of here now. Catch up in the morning.
Cheers everyone.
@ Puma:
Hoe oud is oom Boet nou?
One must just appreciate how well Captain Courageous and the Hash did out there yesterday. A ball that was swinging, moving off the seam, variable bounce, rain delay, conditions that favoured the swing bowler, and the best bowler at utilising those conditions in his own backyard.
When Peterson went down early, we all thought that that may be the start to a busy corridor, but the boys stuck in there and saw out a very difficult period of play unscathed. Apart from a bit of a scare right at the end of the day where a ball that lifted sharply off the pitch nicked the top edge of the #’s bat, flew high between keeper and 1st slip, only to be put down by the captain, the lads looked calm, composed and on top of their game.
If we can come out this morning and continue where we left off, knock off the runs, and perhaps make a decent lead, we may well be in a position to challenge for the match again. Weather conditions are still conspiring against an outcome, but here’s hoping.
Very well done boys, and here’s to the next few sessions.
Captain Courageous playing sublime cricket at the moment. Sure hope he gets his ton in his 100th match
Smith 85 off 183 balls, as the poms try to change the ball
SA going well in the Cricket…. whoop whoop
1 run to Smiths 100
…and he does it. 100 runs in his 100th test match. Well done Graeme Smith
Ahhhh, Biff goes over 100… ton up!
SA 187/1 at lunch. Smith 103, Amla 80
Going to watch the golf then the cricket after their lunch break. Boys are doing well today.
Well done to Smith on getting his century. Now for Alma to reach his. Go boys! Doing really well.
Is Biff out yet?
Players back out after lunch
With the New Ball still 13 overs away, we must now pound the Old Ball for runs…
Amla up to 89. Could we see another ton up pin the next few minutes?
Amla on 99 now… Go for it, Osama Bin Amla!
Amla gets his ton too…
100 off 199 balls
Biff and Amla must kick on now… see if they can get past 150’s, both of them
Congrats Amla on your ton too! Now lets go on to make a big one
It being the 3rd Day already, and South Africa still needing to make up a deficit of 171 runs… the only realistic result seems to be a draw, unless SA can rack up a massive 1st innings score in a afternoon and another day, giving them a possible chance to bowl the Poms out in a Day of cricket
Fark, the runs are coming slow, few and far between…
Maybe the old ball now comes off the bat far too slow… and we will possibly see some action once the New Ball arrives
Double Nelson up on the board… 222
1 over till the new ball, then perhaps some action????
87 @ Just For Kicks:
Fark, it is slow batting now… maybe I should go take a nap… hehehe
Soooooo, finally the new ball – but wait, drinks first!
New Ball taken immediately… as expected
