The appointment of Australians to high profile positions in rugby has continued with the announcement of Brett Gosper as the International Rugby Board’s new Chief Executive as well as Managing Director of the Rugby World Cup.

Brett Gosper has been appointed as the new chief executive of the International Rugby Board (IRB).
Gosper, 53, will also be managing director of the Rugby World Cup.
A former Australia Under-21 international who also played for Paris side Racing Club, Gosper will begin his role on 15 August.
“Brett Gosper proved himself to be an outstanding candidate during an extensive recruitment process,” IRB chairman Bernard Lapasset said.
“The IRB executive committee unanimously agreed that his strong blend of experience, skills and passion for the game are perfectly suited to the role.”
Gosper said: “I am delighted to be taking on this role at what is such an exciting time for the game.”
So he will be the new guy to try and promote rugby to the world by taking the IRB’s favorite son, The All Blacks and sell rugby to the world. Also he will probably monitor any team to rival New Zealand and make sure rules are changed so they can get back on top again. God knows a team like South Africa who went against the IRB charter and kicked more than them as well as didn’t bother to keep possession but score more tries than Australia and NZ combined are not allowed and such behaviour must be stop immediately. But its alright that the teams with the less possession in current games are allowed to win the games because it fits in with NZ style. If any rugby games are win which does not fit in with NZ style change the laws. Because rugby do not sell around the world like a winning NZ team.
