Scotland’s opponents for this year’s Autmun International Test matches have been known for some time now. However, the venue of the final game, to be played against Tonga, was only confirmed yesterday. Scotland will also play against the All Blacks in the first of the tests and against the Springboks in the second test match.
The Autumn tests have started to be strongly promoted by the Scottish Rugby Union who have not long anounced the final test venue to be Pittodrie football stadium in Aberdeen and are also doing a special deal for the two tests at Murrayfield in order to entice the fans.

Hot on the heels of two wins from two in the Southern Hemisphere Scottish Rugby is launching an attractive ticket offer for the EMC Tests against two of the giants of the game this November, as well as once again bringing international rugby to the north-east of Scotland.
On Wednesday 27 June at 10am tickets will go on sale for the matches where you can see Scotland against the reigning Rugby World Cup champions, New Zealand, and the world’s third best ranked side, South Africa.
You’ll be able to buy a pass entitling you to tickets for both games for as little as £35 for adults and £20 for under-18s/students – averaging out at £17.50 per game for an adult and just £10 per game for a child/student.
Should you just want to buy for an individual game both matches will be on sale from £20 for adults and £10 for under-18s/students.
The EMC Tests against the All Blacks and Springboks are both at Murrayfield, with the former on Sunday 11 November (kick-off 2.30pm) and the latter on Saturday 17 November (kick-off 2.30pm).
Tickets for both games will go on sale at 10am on Wednesday 27 June. You can buy via our website – www.scottishrugby.org; via the 24 hour credit card hotline 0844 335 3933, or in person from the Scottish Rugby Ticket Centre at Murrayfield Stadium, which is open during office hours.
Tickets will also go on sale on that day for the third match in the EMC Tests – against the tough-as-teak South Sea islanders from Tonga, who achieved one of the biggest upsets in Rugby World Cup history with their pool victory over eventual beaten finalists, France, at the 2011 tournament in New Zealand.
The match against the Tongans will be played on Saturday 24 November, and Scottish Rugby is delighted to confirm today that Pittodrie Stadium in Aberdeen will host the match with a 3pm kick-off.
Pittodrie, home to Aberdeen FC, has hosted three Scotland matches in recent years – the 2005 non-cap game against the Barbarians and two Test matches – the 2008 game against Canada and the 2010 game against Samoa. Scotland are unbeaten in all these games in Aberdeen.
Scotland head coach Andy Robinson said: “It’s tremendous to be returning to Aberdeen. There’s a passion for the national team in the north-east of Scotland which was very evident when we played Samoa two years ago.
“I know the lengths supporters go to travel to Murrayfield for matches and I firmly support the initiative of the national team taking the game to other parts of the country when we can.”
Aberdeen Football Club Chief Executive Duncan Fraser said: “The club are delighted to welcome back the Scotland rugby team to Pittodrie. The city of Aberdeen has become a second home for the international squad and we are delighted to play any role we can in bringing fantastic sporting events to the city and shire.”
Tickets for the Pittodrie game will cost from £15 for an adult and from £7.50 for under-18s/students and are only available through Scottish Rugby, not through the Aberdeen FC ticket outlet.
Scottish Rugby’s Director of Communications and Public Affairs, Dominic McKay, said: “We’re all looking forward to November when the World Champions, The All Blacks, and the 2007 World Champions, South Africa come to Murrayfield. This promises to be a massive double-header at the home of Scottish Rugby.
