Springboks 36 / 27 England (Final score)
South Africa and England did battle in the Second Test at Coca-Cola Park, Johannesburg at 17:05 SA Time.
This was the live match discussion Article.
The match was broadcast LIVE on SuperSport 1, SHD & M-Net on TV in SA.
An effervescent Springbok side built up enough of a lead with 3 first half tries to keep the English winless in the series, which SA have now secured.
Man Of The match: JP Pietersen
The English can take heart from a spirited comeback that got them within 4 points of the Boks with less than 10 minutes to play. Their forwards particularly took the game to the Bokke in the second stanza who seemed to be somewhat disrupted by the substitution, both forced and tactical.

Grootste verbetering:
vinnige skoonmaak by afbreekpunte en Hougies se blitsvinnige diens.

My “gat se deksel” is that this type of Rugby has been there all along, just hasn’t been allowed to “come out”
Sure there are always going to be games where you can’t play open Rugby, but when you can, it can totally destroy the opposition.
There is no reason why this type of game can’t be played against the Boks FAR MORE OFTEN, and especially when they have a half decent lead in the 3rd quarter of a game.
England commentators are desperate. They are complaining about the first try and lambasting their players for not stepping up and matching the Boks physically.

Hello Blue Bird, Gbs is partying on holiday in the Cape speaks about it on 1st page of this thread and lots more on the other threads earlier today, lucky man
121@ bdb:
Slaan die spyker op die kop.
Quick service early, use the skills late in the game and he’ll break the English defence WIDE open.
@ Scrumdown:
You meant to say “by the Boks” but we understand and fully agree 😉
Boks have to score first to keep the pressure up. England are going to throw everything into the first 10 mins of the second half. Don’t give them hope. This match is far from finished and won.
Sal ook moet sien hoe die reserwes aangewend word, nie oorhaastig wees nie, behalwe as Lambie beseer is, moet nie sy besering vererger nie.
No complacency please guys. Keep the focus, asseblief tog!
2nd half on!
127: baie waar, as hul eerste druk is die game skielik taaier, so ons moet hul uithaal in die eerste 10 minute.
126@ The_Young_Turk:
Dark, cold and excited. You know what I mean though, so all ok.
The boks spoil the Pom line-out. Scrum to the Boks.
Mauwie Botha our 16th player 🙂
Boks turn down the kick at posts and go for the line-out.
Hmmm. A bit over eager there Bokke. Patience, patience.
And England turn over possession, darn it.
Moes 3 punte gevat het, maar ja, as ons gedruk het was dit weer ‘n goeie besluit.
Eng se k@k wil nou maar eenmaal nie ophou vir hulle nie 🙂
England forward pass and scrum to Boks on half way.
Oh koek.
Lambie off, Meisiekind on.
F Steyn to 15.
SA Penalty under the Pom poles.
M Steyn for poles.
Over. 28/3 SA
Desperate England keeps Boks out illegally and Boks get a penalty. Should have been a yellow card. Morne gets the 3 points.
@ Scrumdown:
28 -10 to Boks 😉
Thomas the Tank Engine waldrom on for his 1st England cap.
Go you Kiwi thing you.
Mesiekind looks like he’s actually lost some upper body bulk to my eye.
Anyone agree?
Engelse planloos, reg om geslag te word.
England get a penalty and go for touch.
@ The_Young_Turk:
Hmmm.
Trying to watch, blog and keep the score up to date all at the same time is above my pay grade I’m afraid.
Don’t fluk up now SA….keep the dissiplne
