hmmm, maybe they thought i was a bulls supporter?
@ bdb:
Well said, but then the coaches also have to buy into this. Always be ready to look for the better player also outside the squad of players you are familiar with. A good example is the Bok captaincy issue. First we had talk of Victor being recalled and then FdP and then finally after a lot of hooing and haaing, settling on the best candidate in JdV. HM now says that JdV has impressed him so much and that he was never aware of all his qualities but now that he has gotten to know him, he can see greatness in him. It is a bit worrying that he took so long to see that when it was obvious to many others. The provincialism in SA is part of our society and the coaches and management are just a reflection of our society. It’s going to take good fortune and an open minded coach to be able to conquer that.

Was a good question…. hahahaha
gbs @ 64
Boks will be the first team to beat the ABs.
Think we could beat them home and away this year. We really feel awesome if we beat them in NZ and then back home. Have a good feeling for our Bokke. This could be a very exciting era for us. Now just hope NO more injuries today and especially in the S15 coming up. Damn that tourney should have been finished already. Crazy to still have a few games left to play and then if our teams make the play offs and semi and final. That would mean another 5 weeks of rugby for one of our teams. (probably Stormers) Lucky not a lot of Boks in their team…hehe. Because there could be more injuries coming up before the RC starts.
65 @ ashley:
@ bdb:
Mate, when you talk about provincialism remember the pole in your eye! This nonsense of Aplon and JdJ and Joe P not being good defenders when they are in a team with by far the best defensive record for the past 3 seasons now. Try some of that objectivity that you preach.
Jeez the Irish are getting slaughtered here.
Hate to see these one sided games, especially after the exciting game last week.
Try Liam Messam!

my planne toe nie so uitgewerk nie
jy
darem toe jou eie drank saamgevat of kan ek maar jou “honorary cullert” sertifikaat aanstuur?
70 @ Puma:
Hello Oompie Laatslaper!
@ Puma:
Hi mate. One has to be honest and while we all hope the Boks will beat the Blacks, there isn’t any evidence yet of them deserving to beat the Blacks on a regular basis based on comparative performance. Boks have a lot of work to do to improve. This is what makes this afternoon’s match so important. Are the Boks improving steadily or are we still inconsistent?

Another thing doubt JdV would have been captain if S. Burger was not injured. Think HM would have made Burger captain straight up after Victor and FdP declined. So he just may not have seen how good a captain JdV is. HM said he is still waiting to name his vice captain for the RC. Now could that be Burger? If so WHY? I have always rated Burger (one of my favourite players) but not so sure about him being captain or vice captain. HM should go with a younger player as vice captain. Stick with Bissie that will make him keep the discipline. OR could we see Meyer making Spies vice captain?
72 @ ashley:
73@ grootblousmile:
Yip and still getting over flu. Great to sleep in when it is overcast, feels right to do so…… 😛
I am normally up by 6am. Like to get up early normally.
Try Israel Dagg
All Blacks 53 / 0 Ireland
One very, very important thing the Boks have to learn is to keep playing until the final whistle. The Boks would never have beaten this Irish team the way the ABs are doing. The Boks would have stopped playing after scoring the first 3 tries and then let the Irish back in the match. The ABs NEVER stop playing. If they are 20 up, they want to be 50 up and if they reach 100, they will try for 150.
74@ The_Young_Turk:
Have faith, we will only get better and better under HM. He is a good coach. What we need is to stick with more or less the same players. That way we build. The more they play together the better we will become. I always believe in consistency in selection. Change a player here or there but don’t mess too much with selection.
Crikey 50 for ABs and NOTHING not even one for the Irish… That is a hiding from the ABs. Or are the Irish on the plane already????
gbs @ 78
cullert kinners …. is dit nou kinners soos in kinDers
of
kinne’s soes in meisies?
Freegin hell, halfton up… without reply!
85 @ ashley:
Oulike kindertjies
73@ The_Young_Turk:
We need to get the ‘killer instinct’ drilled into our players. Much like the old Aussie cricket team used to be, once they had you they drove the nail right in. Much like the ABs do. WE can, just have to have a coach drill it into them never to give up no matter how much we winning by. THEN once we in a big lead for goodness sake don’t just bring on the subs to give them game time. Keep the players on that are doing it. Only sub if we have too.
10 Minutes to go in the match…. can the All Blacks go past 60, or shall I rather say, will they?
