Penalty Scotland… right in front on the 22… still not easy at goal
A penalty to win it after an awesome Scottish scrum.
Final Score: Scotland 9 / 6 Wallabies
The Bravehearts have done it. Congrats Beany and Bullscot.
Difficult rugby in these conditions…. and I won’t measure ANYTHING from this game…
Bullscot if you come back from your jump over the moon.
@ grootblousmile:
Sure, it was a one off and no true reflection of Oz ability.

Superbru has even given those who picked Scotland to win 2 points instead of 1

This middle of the week rugby is BADDDDDDDD for production, this side.

Thanks a lot for having a live thread for this game GBS, while it may not have been the most attractive game to watch it must have been full of ‘spanning’ especially with the kick at the end to win it! Wish I could have watched the game.
94@ The_Young_Turk:
Cheers Young Turk am really chuffed about this result so many times we get into positions like today and don’t end up winning. By the way saw your comment at the end of this thread about SuperBru and now understand why you seemed to want Scotland to win so badly and there I was before it all thinking that you were just being a great bloke giving us support
111 @ Bullscot:
Was not good rugby, but was an excellent defensive effort by Scotland for large parts of the game.
The conditions were just too bad for any type of expasive game.
The weather was a great leveler… and who knows what would have happened on a fine weather day… but that’s the cards you are dealt and have to deal with.
Because of the weather, I won’t write the Wallabies off and neither would I elevate the Scotland effort too much.
96@ superBul:
Yip thats me just about back from the moon Super, thanks a stack, in fact the more time I spend posting here about it the happier am getting about the result! It must have been absolutely brilliant to have witnessed but maybe my heart wouldn’t have stood the tension in the end.
It seems like our defence held really strong and thats maybe down to what we spoke about a few days ago – the fact that there were established combinations in key positions, the individual players may not have been as good as any they left out but their understanding of each others play should have helped, or am I getting too carried away and was it just a case of the weather being the great leveller? Oh well anyhow it was achieved this is a super win for us!
@ Bullscot:
No, you got it wrong, I went for the Wobblies on superbru. My heart was for Scotland but didn’t expect them to pull it off.
115@ The_Young_Turk:
Ahh sorry my mistake then, please accept my humble apologies for doubting your intentions. As it had been 30 years since Scotland last beat Australia in their back yard its not many who would have expected the win.
113@ grootblousmile:
Yes GBS with the conditions they had it is understandable that it wouldn’t be an ‘attractive’ game, my concern going into the match was that Scotland would try to endlessly pass the ball and with it being wet would make loads of handling errors and conceed turnovers galore, luckily this didn’t prove costly. Snap by the way on choice of phrase, I was replying to various posts and so hadn’t seen this one of yours when I posted the one to SuperBul in which I asked whether the weather was the great leveller and see you had already mentioned that, oh dear is it a case of great minds think alike or fools seldom differ 🙂
