Rebels flank Luke Jones has been suspended for two Super Rugby matches for a dangerous lifting tackle on Bulls winger Bjorn Basson.
Jones was shown a yellow card for the goal-line defensive tackle made during Friday’s 41-35 loss to the Bulls here.
The Bulls have been dealt a double injury blow with flanker Jacques Potgieter and prop Frik Kirsten returning home with injuries.
Potgieter limped off the field in the 41-35 win over the Rebels on Friday, and went for a scan in Sydney which revealed he had damaged his kneecap. He will be out for between six and eight weeks.
Kirsten broke his hand against the Rebels and has been ruled out for six weeks.
Dean Greyling is already on his way home to be at the birth of his first child.
