The Sharks could be forced to play their Super Rugby clash this weekend against the Cheetahs without star flyhalf Patrick Lambie due to injury.

The Springbok back was forced from the field in last weekend’s match against the Force with concussion.
Sharks team doctor Ewoudt van der Linde said that it’s not a “bad concussion” and that Lambie’s condition has since improved.
“However, there is a Boksmart protocol we have to follow with such an injury and we’ll need to strictly monitor him according to those standards.” he explained.
“Therefore a decision will only be made by Thursday at the earliest.”
Doctor Van der Linde said that the Sharks may even delay their decision to Saturday morning and they might travel to Bloemfontein with 23 players.
Aside from the worry over Lambie’s fitness the only other concern is fullback Louis Ludik who suffered a dead leg against the Force so he must have a fitness test on Thursday.
