Hendrik Cronje, of the Volksblad reported, that the hottest young flyhalf prospect in SA for years has extended his contract with the Toyota Cheetahs until the end of 2014. This is a major coup for the Cheetahs, and it could have a positive spin-off.
It is possible, that the ongoing uncertainty, regarding the Kings inclusion into the 2013 Super 15, may have players hesitant to make career decisions, till clarity is obtained. By committing to the Cheetahs, Goosen has laid down a marker for his team mates.
It also provides coach Naka, the core, to build his backline around. This can only be good news for the future of the Cheetahs. Both forwards and backs will be keen to play around the young maestro!
Mooi so Goosen.
Many players will have get out clauses in their contracts to ensure they can change teams if their current team loses super status.
The Kings will be just a name full of cheetahs players!
Good man that Goosen!

Don’t come and piss on our parade lol
I’m glad for Goosen and the Cheetahs!
