Former Sharks centre, Francois Steyn, is reported to be headed back to South Africa after he chose not to extend his contract with Top 14 Rugby club Racing Metro 92.

The Rugby World Cup fullback has been playing in France since 2009 but has chosen to return to South Africa where he might play for his old team the Sharks.
New Springbok coach Heyneke Meyer is understood to have contacted Steyn about a return to South Africa as he feels Steyn would fill a gap at inside centre.
Racing Metro have confirmed that this season will be Steyn’s last with the club but they did not reveal where Steyn would be moving to.

@ Greenpoint-Gunner:@ Loosehead:Hahaha, this is why I love rugby so much, healthy debate. Both your reasonings give good structured arguments. You both put your arguments across well, and your summations are such that the national debating teams will be calling you up soon. I am leaning slightly towards Loosehead though!
@ Just For Kicks:
Debate? There is no debate! He is wrong and I am right!
I have no problem with FS. Used to be a very talented hothead….now, still very taltented and a lot more mature. I think he’s got a lot to offer and should be considered. Think he never really saw eye to eye with PDV and thb, I really don’t blame him for it. PDV was a buffoon…..nuff said. Welcome back Fransie…
