With time creeping up on us very fast, we have received our first allottment of Super Rugby tickets, 10 in total, for the game between the MTN Lions and Toyota Cheetahs, which takes place on Saturday at 19:10 SA Time.
Scrumdown, one of our Lions reporters collected them today and phoned me.
He left a very good suggestion that we could give a couple of tickets to some of the unsung medics and helpers who work at the games in the Lions region… and he seems to have just the right people in mind.
I personally think that this is a very good idea to start off with, whilst we search for other possible recipients.
Seeing as this is a South African derby, it would please me to nominate some other deserved Lions and Cheetahs supporters, for the rest of the tickets.
Come on, this is crunch time… who shall we nominate?
Maybe 2 tickets for Lions4ever (one for him and one for Mrs Lions4ever), seeing that he is our other loyal Lions Author on this site. I think that would be good and proper!
Then some Cheetahs should benefit too, and I’m wondering whether Mr & Mrs Cheetahs4eva would be interested in making the journey from Nelspruit, to enjoy the game at the Coke-Tin. Loosehead, you and yours are welcome too, if you could make your way from Slaapstad to Sodom & Gemorrah!
That should about do it, unless some of you cannot attend… in which case, the discussion is open for nominees!

How’s the grapes doing, and the pressing… ect?
Stiil as busy?
Busy with some more tweaks.. tell me if it bothers the shit out of you lot.
2 More sleeps till Super Rugby…. it’s been bloody long without proper rugby, has’nt it!
The anticipation here is building like you cannot believe!
This new tweak I’ve employed seems to be working a charm…
The website queries are down, the speed like lightning on this side… on different browsers equally good.
Fark, I hope this one is the answer… pleaaaaase!
I pick up no lag or problems in Logging in and out from different browsers….
Just so by the way, Hoedspruit had clear water on the 31st day after the floods that was the 18th, we enjoyed it till yesterday the 21st
Now we have absolutely fokol, not a drop and we are told that we wont have any for 3 days.
On Sunday they will hold a open Church meeting to thank the whole of SA who contributed, the poor bloke who was shot 2 days after he started his walk to collect money for the needy will attend this meeting, and the town will thank him for his effort.
This little town showed how people can stand together.
In the mean time i will search for water tomorrow morning.
4@ grootblousmile:Flat out, and not even a third of the way through. Dawn to dusk stuff at the moment – could do with a break already!!!
9@ superBul:I hope you get it back soon, we’re thinking of you down here
7@ grootblousmile:Seems pretty good here too!
And you’ve put the tweet buttons back – that makes it so much easier for me!!!
@ Just For Kicks:

13 @ Just For Kicks:
Yip, Tweet Buttons back, The Smilies are back, the Translation Button is back.
Speed really seems good, let’s hope it lasts now!
Had a hard day.. going to hit the sack just now…. and hurt a mattress!
14@ superBul:Theres a case with your name on it, just tell me how to get it there, and I will, you deserve it. Seriously, if you know anyone down here going in your direction tell me. It’s impossible to send by post anymore – by the way, GBS, that newspaper ever arrive? – and to send by courier is about 3 times the value of the wine!
17 @ Just For Kicks:
YUP, thanks… BonzaiGBS was thrilled to bits to receive it!
@ Just For Kicks:
Just joking JFK, but so by the way how far is Langebaan from your place
Can you believe, Bulls match, and we have 60 wedding guests turning up, arriving at 6pm and leaving at 9pm. Hows that for luck, I’ll be stuck in front of the damn oven the whole time
19@ superBul:I’m not! Langebaan about 1.5 hours away
18@ grootblousmile:So there is a bit of hope in the PO. My parents sent my kids something for Christmas, the parcels still not arrived!
20 @ Just For Kicks:
Eishhhhh… hire a helper for the night!
OK i will leave the room now , last man out switch the lights off
Cheers all
21 @ Just For Kicks:
Cheers tjom… I’m rather farked tonight….
See you in the morning…
…. and remember to Goooooooooooi Mieliessssssss!
PS! Lost a freegin ADLS Modem today again due to freegin lightning, luckily I’ve learnt to keep a brand new spare in stock, simply cannot work without internet!. In fact I’ve now resorted to running with a specialized ADSL Modem which also has a built-in 3G Failover router, so even if my ADSL line is farked, it just automatically switches over to 3G, seamlessly, now.
25@ grootblousmile:Sounds like some deadly disease! Cheers
GBS, Did any of the other Unions come to the fore with tickets, or is it just the “financially embaressed” Lions that can aford to give tickets away?
Thanks for the offer GBS, but I am sorted for the season. Whether its my tickets in the stand, or with my friend in the box.
27 @ Scrumdown:
To be brutally honest, I’ve only briefly pulsed the Bulls for tickets as well, nobody else… and have not made any final arrangements with the Bulls.
Simply did not have the time.
Will take it up with the others in the new week.
28 @ Lion4ever:
OK….
27 @ Scrumdown:
Think you must allocate the 10 tickets to those we discussed on the phone… time is running short.
GBS The marketing guy at the Sharks is Michael I think ….Marnewick, but first name defo Michael. You can contact him re tickets…mention my name if you like we have had quite a bit of correspondence. I have his e-mail addie if you want it….I can also contact him if you tell me the blurb.
