An inexperienced young English team win at Murrayfield, a very hostile place for any team to play at, yet they have done it.
It has not been champagne rugby, but a win is a win!!
Final Score: England 13 / 6 Scotland
Well, I have 2 from 2 so far on Bru, but margins were poor.
Tomorrow we have Ireland vs Wales…. that one was difficult to pick
@ grootblousmile:
Agree..a tricky call there.
Scotland was the better side, but 3 things prevented them from winning.
1. Dan Parks had a shocking game
2. Errors, errors, errors
3. Lack of finishing
Ok boys and girls, have a good night.
Cheers
buona sera a tutti

GO ENGLAND!!
Think this was a good game to have missed, really disapointed with the result it was a no brainer going into the game Scotland should have won, for me it was just a case of our inability to score tries which would have kept the margin down. Well done anyway to England for winning having a look at the stats they must have defended really well, at least this one is out of the way now so can support them too now for the rest of the tournament. The numbers also show Scotland completing a huge amount of passes which is the way the offloading way they play under Robinson, he has them passing the ball like it is a hot potato all day long but it doesn’t mean much when its all behind the advantage line or inevitably at a crucial moment they make a mistake. Some very annoyed supporters up here, will have to improve very quickly or else its going to be a looong 6 nations.
One last comment or question on the game: the folk have told me that the ref was playing advantage to Scotland at the time Laidlaw almost scored the try, so why did he not come back for the penalty did he maybe forget about it because apparently they took forever to decide no try? At that point in the game that could have been crucial too.
@ Bullscot:Huge disappointment for me to, I really thought that this may be the year of the Scot, as i said in a previous comment, not so much that they are a stronger team than anyone else, but because they were the most settled and unphased team coming out of the world cup. I felt that is they could have carried that though, at least for the first half of the 6N they would have had a head start whilst the other teams settled and caught up – especially England, playing at M/field!!! Oh well, they’ll still get my romantic ‘Flower of Scotland’ support, but my ‘Bru predictions are going to change big time!!!!
Like I said in comment # 125, I think Scotland was the best side on the day, but were severely hampered by a very shitty Dan Parks performance as well as their lack of finishing ability, compounded by lots of unnecessary errors from their side.
