Williams has already retired from playing international rugby and played his last game for Wales in December.

The winger ended his international career after scoring 58 tries in 87 Test matches for Wales and also scored two tries in his four British and Irish Lions tests.

Thirty-five-year-old Williams is believed to have a contract with the Ospreys until the end of the 2012-13 season and the region offered him an extension but it is believed that he will retire early instead.

Williams is interested in starting a career in coaching and has held talks with Ospreys managing director Mike Cuddy and elite performance director Andrew Hore.

In the upcoming Six Nations Championship Williams will join the BBC team of pundits to providie views and analysis on the championship.

Williams has won two Six Nations Grand Slams (2005 and 2008) and has been on two British and Irish Lions tours (2005 and 2009).
