He could not apply yet, SARU farked him around or plans to keep him.
Stormers 40 / 14
What I’ve been watching with some interest is the number on Eben Etsebeth’s jersey. he’s playing at no 4 lock, and jumping at the front of the lineout.
When last I spoke to him (about a year ago) he was playing at no 4 but I saw him at 5 in the junior WC.
Nice to see him getting game time at 4, I was hoping to see some of him alongside Bekker in this year’s Super 15.
With the dearth of good no 4 locks in SA he might come through nicely in time, even at international level.
103 @ Stormersboy:
I certainly expected him at No 5 lock…
The boy might just come good this year, he’s got mountains of potential.
I still see him as a No 5 lock though.
So that’s what Tobie Tittless (Titus) looks like… one of the WP Administrators who need to be kicked to touch
@ grootblousmile: People make that assumption because he’s so tall.
When I spoke to him last year he told me he plays 4.
We were making jokes about bring the “etter factor” back, he was keen to give it a go.
For his age he’s always been really tall, he’s in fact only 1cm shorter than Bekker was at the same age.
Bakkies is taller than Vic isn’t he?
Jinne, the Stormers look more like a team now who needs a “Bossboy” than a team captain…
@ grootblousmile: he needs a good kicking for sure, him and Wakefield.
Our biggest 2 negatives in the union. And that says a lot, coz we have a few at the moment.
101@ superBul:HaHaHa, its all a conspiracy, Divvy’s contract ends end Jan, new coach appointed end Jan, Bulls advertise beginning Feb, Divvy with clean cv beginning Feb. Interview, formal job offer and new contract merely a formality! Oh yes, and GBS is invited to the press launch – which of course we expect him to go to on our behalf!!
The Stormers 2nd stringers just look a little “lig innie broek” for me…….
Almost a Stormers try…. VerBrokkel knocks it.
106 @ Stormersboy:
Well, Langbek is 2.08m tall… that is MOERRRR tall.
Let’s see how Etsebeth goes… we need a new Bakkies in SA, a No 4 lock with grunt and a no-bullshit attitude.
Try Tiaan Liebenberg

GBS will close down Rugby-Talk if Peter gets any post , Boks or Bulls. But watch it he will take Rassies job down there in WP
Nice to watch, but not a great game, and I don’t really know what this game achieved. We will get a much better idea next week.
@ grootblousmile: Ja. Tiaan played well when he came on. Made a big impact.
Some promise, but the big boys need to step up because most of these guys are not yet up at Super Rugby level. They need to be introduced carefully.
Thanks guys, been nice chatting.
Final Score: Stormers 45 / 14 Boland
JFK what did you learn from this game?
Was it worth anything?
113@ superBul:The way he was chatting to Toby with his hand on his shoulder, I wouldn’t be surprised!
114 @ Just For Kicks:
The warm-up games are nothing to go by, no indication of what a team will do in the season, we’ve seen it time and time again.
… but at least we had some good old SA Rugby to watch in stead of overseas crap.
117@ superBul:Some new faces, but as Stormerboy said, these boys are a long way off S15 level. I also learn’t beach touch should stay on the beach. Although nice and hot, it just doesn’t work in Wellington where they can’t even smell the sea
