The MTN Lions will be playing the DHL Stormers in their first warm up match of the 2012 season on Friday, 27 January 2012 at DHL Newlands Stadium in Cape Town. Kick off is at 7pm.

John Mitchell has named a full strength team for the warm up game against the Stormers for this Friday nights’ warm up match. Of the starting 15, Hendrik Roodt is the only player who will be making his debut for the Lions in Super Rugby, allowing the Johannesburg based team to start the season with much valued continuity.

Mitchell is bringing his new players onto the bench, and should they all get some game time, Callie Visagie, Caylib Oosthuizen, Stephan Greef, Ruan Botha, Doppies le Roux, Antony Volminc and Andries Coetzee will all make their Lions Super debuts.
