GBS, did you see post re-email?
@ grootblousmile:
i assume you got my Christmas newsletter?….you ou’s never let me know, then I start doubting myself.@ grootblousmile:
The tenant isn’t Cavin McKinlay is it?
181 @ Just For Kicks:
Yip, saw it… nearly forgot about it, will send you mail just now with the details.
182 @ 4man:
No, it’s not McKinlay. It is the FIRST Garage (Engen) coming from the Church Street extention, into Silverton (which there has become Pretoria Road), just past the big Police Stores. The Station is called Pretoria Motors.
181 @ Just For Kicks:
Mail sent… if you have a problem reading it, blame the Apple… hehehe
@ grootblousmile:Good. Right, cheers guys and gals, till the next sunrise
185 @ Just For Kicks:
Cheers Kickers!
hamba kahle
SR Tendulkar out for 80
he just cant get that elusive 100th international 100
his mental aproach looks not right to me, he digs his own hole, there is nothing wrong with his eyes and play but he goes through patches where he allows the bowlers to settle in. His scores so far in Australia are 73, 32, 41 and today 80. Against dibly dobbers like Clarke and Hussey he barely scored more than a run per over. He should have cashed in against them, his eye was in. Sad.
Gooooooooood Morning Muppets, Moepels & Mopkoppe… & Rugby-Talkers!
How’s it hanging this fine morning?
Morning all, I see wickets aren’t so easy to come by this morning. Looks like the new ball is available in a few overs or so. Will they take it, or has Steyn still been getting a bit of reverse this morning?
190 @ Just For Kicks:
The current partnership is already at 112… the Sri Lankans making a solid stand of it now…
Need to break up this partnership somehow, get Samaraweera or Mathews out…. then build the attack from there.
The new ball might help in 5 overs, the old one now soft on the hard flat wicket and not doing too much.
New ball was taken at 81 overs
Thats lunch, close call, but too high. good morning for SL, SA got their work cut out, may still become an interesting match.
Lunch – Day 4:
Nothing happened for South Africa in Session 1 of day 4…. not a single wicket taken!
The 2 Sri Lankan batsmen are now well in and the only positive to look forward to is that the New Ball has just been taken and is only 6 balls old.
sri lanka now trail by 98 runs with 5 wickets in hand
sri lanka now only trail by 68 runs
can they make us bat again?
@ Ashley:I hope so, as I say that a catch by Morkel off Tahir, and Perera is gone
Another wicket, Herath, caught and bowled Kallis. Kallis’s 6th catch
Oh, ho hum, doesn’t look like we will have to bat again. When are these games going to make 5 days again. It’s not good for Test Cricket.
And another gone, eventually Boucher does something right, Prasad stumped Bouchy, bowled Tahir for 16. SL327/9, trail by 14 with 1 wicket intact. It’s all over bar the shouting now.
MOM will be Kallis, obviously, but who, I wonder will make MOSeries? Kallis, Philander, Tahir, Samaraweera, or AB de Villiers. My bets on Philander.
Can you believe, we have to bat again, need 2 to win – do you think there’s any chance Smith will be able to play himself back into form?
So King Kallis in his 150th test makes – 224 runs, 3 wickets and 7 catches. Not bad for an old man written off by so many. Now tell me still he is not the greatest cricketer to have ever walked this planet, and I will tell you categorically, you are wrong.
Morkel again finishes with the worst bowling figures. How long can he hold off De Lange, How much longer before he plays himself back into form, and most importantly how much longer before he starts taking wickets again?
For me, there are question marks over Smith and Boucher, who in my book, for differing and similar reasons need to go, and Morkel, who I believe just needs a bit of time with his franchise to get a bit of form back
How often, I wonder, has a team had to come out to score only 2 runs to win
jfk @ 202
we’re gonna win by 9 wickets (wink wink)
And Sa win off a 1st ball no ball, driven for 4 by Peterson, and win the series too.
Heeeee haaaaaaaa….
Missed the last 6 Sri Lanka wickets, with work taking precedence.
SA get the first 5 runs off a no ball 4….
SA Win by the most comprensive of margins!
Well thats it, all over bar the shouting and a couple of awards and interviews.
